Hello everyone,

I have a gigabyte h110-d3a. I cannot get my zotac 3070 to be recognized by windows no matter what I do.

I have updated the bios, I put the board in mining mode, display IGFX, enable 4g coding, set gen 2, and a few other things I saw on youtube.

I have plugged the card all by itself directly into the motherboard to avoid riser issues. I have reinstalled windows a few times and made sure that no updates occur.

Both pcie power connectors are plugged in.

However, here is where things get even more confusing. When I plug in my 2080 super and an old amd r9 390, into the same slot windows detects them right away.

So I thought maybe I got a bad gpu. But, when I plug in the 3070 directly into my desktop it is detected right away. So the gpu cannot be broken.

I simply have no idea what to do next. This has eaten several days of my time now. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Could it be a comparability issue between the mobo and the gpu?

specs:

gigabyte h110-d3a

8gb ram

intel pentium g4400t

samsung ssd 850 evo 500gb

evga g2 1300w psu

I asked the mods to move to alt coin section.

nvidia 3000 series does not mix well with nvidia 2000 series.

Maybe some one else has more look for this in alt coins when the mod moves it.

My apologies if this is in the wrong section. I have primarily been working with just 1 3070 that is plugged directly into the motherboard. It will not be detected no matter what I do. Every other card works except the 3070.

I have put the 3070 in my daily use computer and it is instantly detected. It would appear that the GPU is not broken.

I have a Gigabyte (h110 ?) d3a with 4 3070. 2 of them being Zotac, ( the gaming and the huge one( that BTW is the best 3070 EVER)).  <with the huge one I got trouble with windows. So:

Do you have two Nvidia card one being the Zotac and the other something else ?
Connect the non Zotac first. Install the Nvidia driver.
then substitute the non Zotac with the Zotac. And add the first non Zotac on another PCI slot.

Ideally the monitor is connected to the non Zotac first and then the Zotac.

You will switch to the onboard graphics later.

I did it an year ago and its working since with no issue at all. Btw, the PL max is 109, and it consume 103 watt at 61.5 mhs.

Set the default settings for the BIOS.
Try to install Hive OS. It will not take long, and you will understand what the problem is. If the video card is not detected in Hive os, then you need to write on the Gigabyte forum. Perhaps this is some kind of compatibility problem.
Such cards work for me without additional settings with 5600 XT video cards
