No freaking way that this is going to be possible soon, tell BTC to go back to 20k then maybe this is possible, if BTC goes down ETH and other pow algorithm coins will follow, if BTC goes over 40 again GPUs will spike in price once again

They are already in spike compared to the MSRP prices listed above,1200 EUR for RTX 3070 and 1600 or more for RTX 3080 right now.The only good option which I am still having difficulty to find is the GTX 1080 ti at 42-45 Mhsh but they are still at 600 EUR or more in price.Since the price of coins from August and up is predicted to be going in the upside I think those prices of MSRP we can forget about as they will not be possible anymore unless newer GPU-s are produced and there is no shortage in chips.

I can get gtx1080ti for 650$ in my country right now but those things consume more electricity, I'm talking 45MH at 200watt that's a lot compare to 47MH at 130watt on Rx Vega 56 and you can get Rx Vega 56 at 600$, I bought three and I'm going to buy three more

For 600-700 dollars, I would be looking for a 5600XT video card.
It gives 38-45 megahashes and consumes from 82 to 110 watts, depending on the settings. The GTX 1080 ti is already a very old video card and consumes 180-200 watts when using the minimum power consumption.
Bottom of the newbies is a good guideline for how much prices to buy video cards.

For the people that think GTX 1080 ti consumes a lot for me is not real,I have them at 160 watt with 65% power limit making 41 Mhsh as they do in theory 45 Mhsh but with the passing of time their hash rate falls and they are really old cards. However for the same power consumption of 160 watt it makes 25.6 Mhsh in Ravencoin which is a really good hash rate for mining Raven from an old card like this.

41MH from gtx1080ti with 160watt is still much for me, if the card can do 60MH with 160watt power then it's very much better, let your hashrate fits your electricity bill that's what we call true efficiency but unless you have free electricity

27MH must take 50-60watts
30-33MH must take 70watts
50-60MH must take 120-130watt Max

Anything over this is not going to stay under my roof

bear market in sight, you trolls are crazy if buying gpus for more than msrp, matter of fact buying coins right now is a lot lot lot better deal cause you can sell the coin a little higher, now gpus are hard to sell and for the price you paid or close to it, gpus will not rise in price anymore, smart people are not buying like they used to in the beginning of this wave, so want to bet something? buy coins not gpus and sell them as fast as you see 10 to 20% profit. It will give you more money and without any hassle.

Looks like it is a better remake of the RX 580 only this time is is 8 GB GDDR6 and not GDDR5 and only because of this I think it should easily achieve that 35 Mhsh hash rate as a minimum. That is because GDDR6 is a lot more efficient than the GDDR5 memory at mining memory intensive algorithms like Ethash and the cores are not that bad compared to other higher 6000 series.

I wish people like you worked in AMD company Smiley
That would be much better rx 580 with gddr6 memory instead making this crappy cards.

If AMD will sell you the same video card for 5 years, you think that you are being deceived.
I bought the first PX 488 cards for about $ 350, so AMD is trying to close the price range by releasing new models. But I'm very interested in what results miners will get from these video cards.

This is really bad giving top card like rx 6900 256bit bus speed.
rx 6600 has only 128bit what a joke.it is same like rx5500 will be bit higher like 30-33mhs speed. why AMD doing this? I really miss times of polaris and vega radeon 7 rx 5600 5700 times now.they did better cards along time ago.

they solve the problem to some extent with infinity cache. check out the reviews and the performance deficit for gaming is not that huge in 4k. i think it is quite competitive as long as you can find it at msrp. sadly, that's quite difficult.

imo amd is definitely not focusing on miners, so that's why their products are like that.

I have been seeing now and then cards pop up at retail around here at BELOW the MSRP listed.

With a *but*, you have to buy a motherboard & CPU & RAM with them AT MSRP which is insane.
Most people really don't pay attention to it, but boards usually have MSRP at prices that are way above what you see in stores.

If you need a new mid range motherboard it's not a bad deal. But they are not the cheap low end ones and not the better ones either. So in the end you are overpaying ~$250+ for a motherboard / CPU / RAM combo and getting a video card at $50 below MSRP.
This way the stores can go back to the distributors and the local press and say they are not "gouging" the public on the prices of cards.

I would rather just overpay for the card, but that's just me.

-Dave

I would never buy everything just to get the card.I have been offered from one of the biggest local stores here at 1800 EUR to buy a good average build with the RTX 3070 but I refused.I am more than willing to overpay when I have the possibility for the card as I don't need those other devices. In fact I have done that,I have bought a RTX 3060 ti at 1300 EUR price well above the MSRP and also bought near 800 EUR a GTX 1080 ti which is a lot of money but they are giving me good results in mining so I am very happy about that.

never pay a scalper or higher than msrp.  in fact, buy on sale.

If you cant find cards or the price is higher, then you missed the opportunity to buy and should just wait for next mining depression to buy.  RX5700XT were plentiful and on sale for at least 6 months before the craze.  its just good economics.  in that case if you still want to participate just buy some bitcoin and hold it

are you talking about prebuilt pc btw? i think a few months ago (and maybe now), that was the trend. you can find an rx5700xt, rtx 3060 and so on from crappy prebuilt with ease. the cooling is not great but the cost is quite competitive if you compare it with buying gpus directly from retail. not the greatest way to get gpu though.

Easier to say for you probably because you've already buy at MSRP or closed to, it's a different story for those that are planning to buy GPUs right now, I'm forced to buy used GPUs to lower cost, they always work well and few needs thermal pad to be changed
