I guess we have to look at the definition of "guarantee", because nothing is certain, especially in cryptocurrencies. No one can guarantee you anything when it comes to price because there's no single party that's in charge or taking accountability.

I am assuming that you are talking about pump & dump groups. Those are usually only manipulating low marketcap coins or something that they own most coins/tokens so that they can control the price better. Exchanges like Bittrex have stated long time ago that they can close accounts from people doing pump & dumps so groups who want to manipulate prices are usually more careful now.

Talking about investment guarantees, I think no one dares to guarantee them. BTC is indeed the king of coins in the crypto space, but the certainty that it will continue to stay in long-term investments is not necessarily the answer. Although BTC to this day I still admit it as the best coin.

Of course, just look at the top ranks of coinmarketcap. They were all very cheap at first and now the price has gone up hundreds to thousands of times. Not only bitcoin guarantees profits, but altcoins too. But choose an altcoin that has a clear use and case.

I agree with you even though we also know that nothing is guaranteed anywhere and especially in the cryptocurrency space.
However, I would say that investing in the right projects are good in term of long term crypto investments. Already mentioned that nothing is guaranteed but those that have invested in coins like Bitcoin/Etheruem from years ago can say that it was worth it and for some reason now, we can also say that few projects like this are a guarantee as long as the crypto market is still around.

To the best of my understanding and experience, the answer is yes, but this comes with a big condition, the condition is, you must be holding or investing in coins that will make you stand a chance of getting a good reward in the future or getting the guarantee as you called it.
Let me start with coins like ETH, BNB, and ADA, these coins have been around for years, now assuming someone invested in them since two years ago, by today or this year, the person would be reaping a very good reward, because these coins are very good.
On the other hand, assuming someone invested in most shitcoins as of two or three years ago, of which many are dead already, the person would be in losses now. Therefore you can see that, it is very important for someone to first carry out his due diligence before investing in any coin, this will go a long way in directing the person, even if the person is in doubt, there a good number of coins at least within top 50 in coinmarketcap that are good for long term.

No, because there is no certainty in any investment - crypto or otherwise. The current market conditions could change at any time so that a long-term investment is no longer safe. But in the past, long-term HODLing in crypto was the only right way!

A good example of this is the oil market. Until Corona, oil companies were a safe bet with some of the highest dividends around. Corona (which came out of the blue) shook up the entire market, making oil stocks unattractive to many investors today. A good 1.5 years ago, no one could have imagined this.

Like it is likely if you buy low level shit coin it will be high risk. Maybe it will go good but a risk is very likely.

The answe is quite simple - NO! Crypto market investment doesn't come with a guarantee! It's same as the traditional stock market. There is no guarantee that a company will continue to perform in the same way it has been performing since last few years. We have many many such examples available in the stock market - Reliance telecom, Wework, Yahoo, Kodak, Xeror, Polaroid etc.

So the same can happen for crypto market as well. Infact we have already seen thousands of failed projects. I personally have few millions of deadcoins in my various wallets. So it's always better to keep an eye on your investments, be it crypto or traditional stock markets.

Of course it would but this is solely dependent on your activities. Are you considering just hodl? You might have a problem with that, Infact, that was one of the major reasons people lost in the bear. Try giving your investment purpose and of course diversity. For instance, one can decide to stake some let's say $pCWS, Seascape Network token to enjoy a 219% APR on Wault. That way, one has successfully given one's investment purpose for profit generation and created diversity. In a nut shell, long term investments gives guarantee but that's dependent on your activities.

No, there is no guarantee, everything here is very volatile and unstable. Long term though might give you a good returns, but you will be on a wild run and the question is how mentally tough are you in this ride? What if you wake up and see that your portfolio going down -50% or more? Just like what happen during March 2020, at the height of the pandemic? So you have to ask yourself that questions, and if you are going to be a long term holder, you need to consider how long it is and that you just invest what you can afford to lose.

How do you define long-term investments though? Because you could be holding for 1 year and make profits and see it a long term already. But in my experience specially in stocks, I have a minimum 5-10 years holding. So just imagine how long someone will hold let's see BTC for it to be a guarantee returns of x amount of money. And also remember that bitcoin unlike any other asset in the market is very unstable, so you have to consider that.

IMO, In this space, shilling is a common game here. There are a lot of PnD groups that are still available as of now, and also big names who have an enormous influence on the masses theoretical able to move the market(Elon, etc). When you look about the timeframe at that occurrences happen, you need to look to a bigger picture, about what's actually happening--like how the markets move. I'm sure at the bigger time frame the price surely doesn't affected too much. On other hand, if the project itself does not have a solid foundation, then it obviously the shill attempt only to get a quick profit.
