Spammers are all over the forum and while guys like actmyname are doing a great job of tagging them neutral, I think there should be something the forum needs to implement as well.

This is what I want to suggest.

Getting X number of posts deleted by moderators = Getting a ban for Y number days from wearing signatures.

Getting XX number of posts deleted = Permanently disabled from wearing a signature

This can be further divided into sections if deemed necessary.

20+ Posts deleted in the last 30 days = banned from posting in the Marketplace section

50+ posts deleted in last 30 days = banned from posting outside Other section

This will encourage the users to spam less and fear deletion which will overall enhance the quality of comments made by them. I am not sure if such a system already exists and if it does, please inform me. We all know signature space is the biggest reason for all the spam.

There are already rules for spam with appropriate punishment for violators;
Staff do not want to hand out bans for unconstructive posts but if we feel that you as a user are continually making very poor or unsubstantial posts due to your paid signature the following bans will be issued:

First offence: 7 days
Second offence: 14 days
Third offence: 30 days
Fourth: Permanent ban

About your suggestion; While deleted post usually means it's spam, making a general rule regarding that may not be advisable. Some users complain of their bumps being deleted wrongly or their replies getting deleted mistakenly for some other reason that isn't spam.
I believe it's best to handle each case uniquely, rather than taking a general approach.

Thank you very much, wasn't aware of that rule. And you're right deletion might be harsh sometimes so it's best if there is a rule in place to do its work.
