A few areas I think is necessary to look into before investing include the project's use case, partnerships they are involved in, Investment and reward structure as well as project's overall structure, their road maps and users reviews.

The criteria of investing in NFT projects are still same with other projects and it all starts from what you know about the project; what you know about a project goes further into knowing their team, products and services (if any) and so on. So by removing hype, or paying no attention to hype, one can be able to know a great deal about a project.
About the potential of a project, means knowing what the team has worked on already, and which is why most people always wait till a project gets listed watch the team's expertise towards the project before buying.
Therefore I would say, if you find it hard investing in a new startup NFT project due to the team not looking good to you, you can pay attention to those already listed.
Apart from NFT projects, there are still good projects out there like staking tokens such as CAKE.

Personally, I think that every coin will definitely float to the moon based on the potential news implemented with real developments such as developing the core program of the whitepaper concept goals and building relationships with top projects can also support the upside movement in the short term.

Good projects have clear goals and the team is working well according to the roadmap, but some new projects nowadays are difficult to research because some projects have anonymous teams but the price of the coin is rising with a good market cap, research before investing and look for it projects that have real products, then we can choose some new portfolios for investment, don't invest all your money in crypto because there is no guarantee for profit if you don't have experience and patience.

Had fallen and still falling down to such traps continuously which must be an aspect to be addressed immediately so that good projects will find means to survive and investors will remain confident about crypto investments. Even failed projects are just part of every environment, we should find initiative to stop well-planned-scams so that new investors will not lose their hard earned money. Honestly I never prefer to invest into any new things so that I guess I am staying secured even I prefer diversifying my portfolio with some altcoin investments.

My practical suggestion to all the new and existing investors of crypto space, we should never be in hurry to invest in new projects. We must take time to analyse the consistency and performance of a project and then we may go for investing; this way I believe we can at least eliminate the 50% risks of investing in altcoins.

I totally agree with what you said, that investing in altcoins is quite risky for anyone nowadays. However, there are some altcoins that have had good movements in the market, although this situation did not last long.

Currently, NFT is a good long-term project according to the analysis of many people, usually the criteria for the project have a good bargaining value and are almost the same as the project initiated by NFT at this time.

Investing for me, means buy coins and hold it for long time. Maybe not days or weeks. So what is my criteria is coins which maybe wouldn't delisted from market for long time. And maybe good community so the coin not left by users and will keep to have big volume market. BTC or BNB or maybe some for ETH now that i will pick if must made "investment" in crypto.

The criteria of each person will certainly be different in the trading activities they do, and there will definitely be a list of favorite assets in their wallet, it will be different for each person because it returns to the purpose and design of the investment strategy made.
