What would you rather buy for the long term right now...BTC or ETH?

I will choose Bitcoin instead of Ethereum. Although Ethereum is trending well now, I am more optimistic about Bitcoin.

I'll choose to have more bitcoin since I don't have much bitcoin. I'd be okay to sacrifice to have lesser ETH and to have more bitcoin. But well, these two really have the connection when the other one spikes, the other one goes up too. Ethereum is going to have its continuous burning and staking while for bitcoin, halving every four years. I'll go with the popular halving as it's really giving more value to bitcoin but with Ethereum's change, it's also going to boost its price very soon. Well, since it's just an if I can choose one but there's no need for me to choose any of them as I'll take both of them.

I stumble similar poll and question and the majority voted for Bitcoin, now the gap is not wide anymore, Ethereum and other coins like Binance are getting closer and Bitcoin dominance is getting lesser, for me, I like Bitcoin and Ethereum, these are the top 2 coins in the market and will always control the market, prices always follow what Bitcoin price dictates, whatever you prefer to invest for a long term, you need to have both in your portfolio.

I would choose Ethereum and here is the reason why. Bitcoin is not developing now, we all know it as the first crypto and as crypto with the biggest market cap, but ethereum is completely another thing, A lot of defi projects appear there, and now we all wait for the launch of Ethereum 2.0. Ethereum seems more logical to buy to me right now. Because it's been on a huge rise for some time. It's like Ethereum is already in a bull run. The price is already over $2.8k now. And it is very likely we see $3k soon. The ATH was $4.3k and this is not an unbreakable record for Ethereum in the long run. I expect a price even over $10k in the future.

I would buy the both although it would be more of BTC than ETH, they are both good coins which will definitely give profit in the long run, btc isn't going to step down for eth and eth won't step down for any other alts, so instead of investing in one of them alone, I'd pick both of them and make profit off them, I would also invest in Near since it has so much potentials just like Ethereum, although it's even much better than the ETH 2.0.

I have the same thoughts as you, that after all Bitcoin is the best, it can't be compared with any coins. From the first time entering the market

Look for fresh new coins you can probably do 5X on one run or get rekt It's risky getting into new coins as they can pump and dump easily or even abandon the project completely so my advice seek wisely but the truth is fresh new gems are the way to go if you want good profits high risk but it you want low risk with just enough doughs then go for ETH I guess

What would I choose Bitcoin to hold in the long run. I like Bitcoin a lot better than Ethereum. One thing I can see is that if the price of Bitcoin goes up, the price of all coins goes up. Eth is Good move man , during the last run , I had put 100$ in each and the 100$ in Bitcoin would move so slow BECAUSE of how massive it’s already been, so I’d make a 35$ profit because BTC was already too huge , 
Meanwhile,
The same 100$ from ETH was giving me 80$ , because of how smaller it is , so in my opinion you’ll make more money watching ETH grow than from BTC ,

It is obvious that ethereum is going to be more volatile than bitcoin simply because in terms of market cap it is the smaller coin out of the two, however we need to remember that the volatility not only plays in your favor but it can play against you as well and this means that if you select the wrong time to invest in ethereum then you are bound to get incredible losses.

This is one of several reasons why I prefer bitcoin, besides if you are really thinking in investing in any of those two coins for the long term then it is obvious that bitcoin is the best choice as I'm not so sure that ethereum is going to be around for another decade.
