Why is Google Listing Only My Homepage?

When you search for a term that my site ranks for, you'll see it listed but instead of the page that contains the article, what you'd find is the homepage and snippets from the article. So if you click, instead of being directed to the post that has the article, you'll land at the homepage. What could be responsible for this? If you can help, do let me know.

do a search with incognito page and different IP see what you get. If its different.
You can also ask google to crawl your site. It may not help with rank but it may help indexing your sitemap you submit to them.

I do not think so. That site ranks number one on a number of terms and still does but Google listing links the homepage instead of relevant page.

Do you have a sitemap? You need to set up your website to the standard that Google requires because they automatically index it.

I think Google index your homepage quickly than the other links, but you need to give Google time to index all of your links. Maybe after you post your article, you need to ping the article in the free ping services such as:

https://www.prepostseo.com/ping-multiple-urls-online

Some ping services might not be available now because I did a fast search to find the services. Do not forget to submit your site to Google, Yahoo, and Bing to get a visit by their robot to crawl and index your site.

Top searches will get listed on the top of the results and using appropriate keywords might get your article in the top of the list.
