Sometimes I wonder if the crypto hype is over. "De-Fi" and NFTs are still a big hit, but interest/demand seems to be slowly declining. I'm guessing the next Bitcoin halving will "revive" the hype. But there's no guarantee this will happen since crypto behaves in many strange and bizarre ways.

Do you think the crypto hype is over? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

Hmm, I don't understand how you conclude or think that crypto hype is over just because the price doesn't seem to show a great movement recently.

Is this just about Bitcoin reaching new ATH? Is this just about we should see large price movement everyday? Is this just about big people doing some manipulation on the market? Of course, no.

Just be on your usual. Ride the wave, ride the trend, ride the hype, ride the bearish, etc. It doesn't mean these big coins are silent, everything is now over. There's no such thing as continuous hype. It is bound to spoil and the cycle just repeats.

Yes it is true that the crypto market has been on hype for some time. Due to which it could not remain stable for long.  And the full market fell by more than 50%. But now, despite the lack of hype, the market has begun to grow on its own way. Now it looks like the crypto will make a new ATH again and it will be stable

It won't be over because they might be on some different roads but as soon as we trend again in social media, they will suddenly give their so-called honest opinion which will storm the crypto market. What I meant by that is when the greatest bull run happens a few months ago, not only in social media but the mainstream media are reporting about the crypto market as well. Now that they are both silent, don't think they will be like that forever because if they find some opportunity to promote whatever coins they want, they won't hesitate to do so. You can use that opportunity or use it as an advantage to start investing in those coins and prepare to let go when the price is falling.

For some reason, Elon Musk stopped tweeting about DOGE and even Bitcoin, making people lose interest in crypto these days. Add to this the China miner ban, and regulatory action against Binance exchange and you'll see why the market hasn't gone up that much within the last 2 months (approximately). Bitcoin is still struggling to reach a new ATH, while ETH doesn't get past $3k per coin.

I hope the crypto charm will continue in the future.
In my mind, I think cryptocurrency is in a bubble. however, it is very difficult to predict when a bubble in crypto will appear.
And I'm sure the bubble could end, but probably won't, or even worse, in the next few months

The power of media is the strongest in this world moreover in cryptocurrency, we could see how big the power is from everything that spreading to the world from the media will make the market move in seconds, in this digital era we already saw a coin pumped very hard right after a tweet from a person, so i think you're right the big investors are buying right now and when they already want to sell theirs, media will spread the crypto good news again

How a market will grow when there is a lack of hype? A hype does not need to be an intensified one but it can be some positive thing which keeps the market move on upside rather than being sideways or falling down. This way I am sure the hype of crypto investment will never get over regardless of what kind of correction market will show to us. Because, there are strong believers of crypto markets who will definitely keep buying at all dips.

Moreover, if hype among investors is lost then it would be too hard to restore it. This is the reason most altcoins neve recover after a heavy dump.

Just one more hit on ATH price and the HYPE will be back but who knows this breakout will be fake or no. The mass demand is still under question, so waiting for the sentimental indicator results will show us how much of the total invested money flow came from the smart or dumb side. Dumb money flow will be a loss in the long run, so the market will show us a clear direction soon.

I think so too and also it would be nice to know a number how many % of people own cryptocurrencies by now. I think one day almost everyone will hold some even if it is not a substantial amount, but just because it might be more practical for a couple of things in life. So once Bitcoin scaled and is very easy and fast to use, everyone is going to buy it for practical reasons. By now I think we are still in a pretty low % range of people worldwide holding crypto.

There is no proper understanding about the market, thats the reason why it is termed as hype. People are into healthy discussion about the market, and there is no manipulated growth in recent days. At times the whales make some market manipulation, but that doesn't last long. Hype means giving importance to something undervalued, here iteis valuable and the same is bouncing through its increasing usage.

I think the cypto won't end because elon musk has stopped tweeting about btc or doge.if seen indeed at the time Elon Musk did a tweet that seemed to promote it had a very remarkable effect.but if we look at it the hype is temporary only because many new people are joining crypto to profit from the hype that exists.nowadays people don't really care about elon's tweets anymore.not very influential on the price of crypto that he promoted.now all crypto prices are at their fair price, and it is rather difficult to rise because it continues in the negative issue.but although the price of crypto is not hype like the last 2 months but people who have been in the crypto world will remain in this world, but orany that is only affected by the hype will disappear just now the crypto hype has started to appear but with coins that are in the gaming sector.many current crypto game projects are emerging and the price of game coins is increasing significantly.i think this is the starting point of the crypto hype will reappear.

Everything is still going as normal without Elon,Elon just messes things up. Maybe he stopped tweeting because he knew people stopped believing what he did with the crypto market. Hype has always existed in crypto, maybe one hype is over and we'll soon see a new hype begin.

hype there's still going to be a lot of great opportunities and that's a lot of ways to make the market even more attractive because already some hype has been going on year after year it's definitely going to be great times and it's definitely attracting bigger investors there's definitely something to come at a time when the market is experiencing a massive increase in attraction it will be even greater because it actually attracts more investors than it currently is because it is so powerful.

As long as the cryptocurrency market exists, the hype will always exist. We have experienced a major adjustment in the cryptocurrency market in the past two months, but now we are experiencing its gradual rebound. Many large investment institutions are entering the market, and the Fed is not adopting an interest rate hike policy for the time being. These are good fundamentals for the crypto market to continue to be active.

Thank you. Smiley
Nope it isn't. Thanks to these new play to earn games probably gamers will now be in crypto. I am one of them so I believe I am seeing a possible millions of gamers emerging this space. There are now games developed that is similar to various popular online games like Counter strike global in steam and now Citizen Finance are creating a similar game with a play to earn feature. There are also games like crypto blades and the most hype one which is the Axie Infinity that is helping spread the trend for cryptocurrency hype. We don't need Elon. We just need a revolutionary play to earn games and a passive income that could help us financially and that could lead to cryptocurrency biggest popularity.

I think that Hype that is only created because some rich guy like Elon Musk is tweeting about a certain topic is not really something good and sustainable that will benefit a certain area in the long term, that is why i have never been a fan of those elon tweets. I rather prefer a slow but steady growth of the crypto space with ever increasing usability lower entry barriers and wider adoption. We maybe don't see 50% price increases over night like we did after the Doge Tweets of elon but i am sure the growth we get through adoption will be much more consistent and it won't disappear over night like with those exaggerated hype bubbles that are created to pump a coin just to dump a few days later.

Should the post say that Is the crypto hype over?
After more than two months of downward adjustment, many whales have been silently hunting the bottom. Many investment institutions have been buying. The impact of China's closure of mines has also passed. The US government's supervision is only minor supervision. The recent rebound has shown that the market is full of vitality and a new bull market should be on the way.

Even though crypto currencies got sabotaged by Elon Musk and China, I don't think the hype is over. At the moment BTC is still at 43,000 USD which is a very high in my opinion. Also we are still in the summer period where many people are on vacation and forgot about cryptos. Let's see how the autumn is going to turn out. We shouldn't forget where Bitcoins where last year. For me the hype would be over if Bitcoins are back down to 10,000 USD.
The crypto hype will never end even if Elon is not involved with crypto, even though every hype has a bad ending but there will be new hype in blockchain adoption in the future because the hype follows the era of technological development.

Crypto hype is not always focusing in one type. It changes every time because the product change. If we remember the hype of DeFi last year, now is the hype of NFT particularly the gaming aspect. There are so many benefits from this product like you can earn while playing. I think NFT hype is not yet finish. Maybe there are more changes and hype to come.

Well, maybe. But you don’t have to be relying on what those people has to say to make your decisions, there are still coins that are doing pretty good at this time, and their prices are still growing without all the hype and stuff. Moreover this hype of a thing is usually at a time after the halving when the market starts pumping, and it’s like a normal thing that happens after some years, like we have seen before. So the bullish trend is over for now, and the market is back to its normal up and down movement we usually see. Try to be doing your analysis and not rely so much on hype, it’s going to help you.
