How will Ethereum survive without Vitalik?

Ever since Vitalik created Ethereum, the project has been on a road towards non-stop success. It's been around 6 years already with ETH being the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Vitalik's skills and great mindset will keep the project afloat for a very long time. But sometimes I wonder what will happen with Ethereum without Vitalik in play? The community could keep the project alive, but without a genius mind like Vitalik Buterin, ETH will be one step behind of its rivals. At least, that's the way I see it. But I could be wrong.

Vitalik was playing a role to give a contribution for what kind of innovation that must be implemented into the ethereum protocol. We know that if the bug and problem will always there and that's why vitalik was playing the main role to think about what kind of solution to be implemented to fix the problem but this doesn't mean if vitalik was not with ethereum and ethereum will die.
Ethereum's life depend on the miners and parties who have been helping to run the network.

ethereum has grown enormously in the market. we might see when ethereum is without Vitalik in the future. the community is certainly a strong background for the survival of ethereum in the market.
but of course, there has to be someone as extraordinary as Vitalik to continue the development of an already large platform.
If you only depend on the community without project development, it's like waiting for time to die.

This is a good question! Unlike Bitcoin where Satoshi left the development so there's no central point of failure, in ETH, Vitalik seems still controls the development. If he steps down in the near future, I think there will be a civil war in ETH community. However, ETH community will mature over time, so in the event where he steps down (when he gets old, retired or something), I think the development will still continue.

BUT the question of survivability isn't entirely about him since there will be smarter people born every day, and may come up with greater idea than ETH.

Well, that's why it's important to build a decentralized network in a way that it can survive without you. Satoshi probably left many years ago yet his successors were able to carry-on without Bitcoin degenerating to something else. I feel it's also very important to build a system that fairly promote very talented people with similar passion and ideologies to position that will guarantee they succeed you incase you are nolonger there. It should be a merit-based that almost guarantee the talented people work in harmony.

Then what for development which is currently still not good in your opinion? because what I see on Ethereum is very worthy of praise because it has really helped Ethereum users in the past and also at this time.

Most of the biggest organizations I know have an established plans for succession as we don't know what can be in this world. And I am sure that Vitalik Buterin himself is aware of the importance to have this succession plans in placed. Now, we know that Ethereum is always connected with this young man and if ever he can be taken out for any reason then most probably the whole network can be affected but it does not mean the end of it. Just look at Apple right now and soon we could see the main man in Amazon to be stepping down and even CZ of Binance is already thinking of having someone filled up his shoes in Binance. Ethereum will still be Ethereum and will continue to be growing without Vitalik though I am not wishing this to happen any time.

Ethereum without Vitalik is like the earth without water (the source of life) looks barren, barren and cannot grow a blade of grass. Maybe we'll go to Mars.
Honestly, Vitalik role cannot be separated from Ethereum, maybe if it wasn't for him, the fate of Ethereum would not be as great and crazy as this in the cryptocurrency industry.
Because the husband has an end, there must be someone who can replace him, miners are still struggling and investors are still willing to pay for it. I believe, Vitalik already has a plan for Ethereum future not to stop after he dies. We just don't know for sure.

of course with the community of Ethereum, so as long as Ethereum is still popular and remains the choice as a long-term investment, then of course Ethereum will definitely survive forever and I also believe that Ethereum will definitely remain the right choice for a long-term investment, especially if ETH 2.0 has been launched, then of course it will affect for the price of Etheruem to be able to increase higher than its ATH price, therefore I chose Ethereum for my investment, because by investing in Ethereum, then of course in the future I can definitely get a lot of profit and become rich.

Vitalik is the reason why ethereum still standing right now in the market at the 2nd place . So without him for sure there will be no ethereum anymore once it fails again or there's an error occurred on the project,. Because tbh only vitalik is the real key why ethereum became a successful project in the space.. Only one answer: ETH is losing its zest for life, which will obviously lead to price chaos. Because of course this is the key to the success of ETH, and until now Vitalik still can't be used, even if there is it won't be the same as him.
There will be many people looking for face, and wishing to have it, but still ETH is no longer the same.

I think it's difficult to understand what will happen to the progress, development and sustainability of Ethereum in the absence of Vitalik, I think the circumstances surrounding his exit is what matters the most, if for example, Vitalik actually plans his exit from the Eth network, then I don't think there will be too much of a problem, cause he would prepare how exactly he'll handover the network and what he'll want the continuity to be like, that is in the case of a premeditated exit.

But having said that, if Vitalik is to leave unexpectedly on the occurrence of an unforeseen circumstance, then it could be disastrous for the network as it'll take quite a lot of time to balance things out in the absence of Vitalik.

This is the difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin runs normally without any changes, even though those who created Bitcoin have left Bitcoin, Bitcoin can run normally.
Ethereum continues to be upgrade, if there is no Vitalik of course the upgrade will stop, such as the Ethereum V2 upgrade. And blockchain site changes. Could Ethereum still be safe if their development team is gone? Hopefully my way of thinking is wrong, and please correct me.

There will be a panic if this thing happen because Vitalik did a great job with ETH and many believes that if he stays with ETH, this project can still go for more peaks. Yes, there’s a lot of good people under ETH team, that’s a total team effort this is why they are experiencing a good support from the community. Vitalik is very professional, I’m sure he will not leave ETH yet, he is still working good.

What if without Vitalik when the situation of Ethereum is already established? I guess that's just the same as bitcoin and the development will continue through the hands of those concerned people in the community. But if it is the other situation which is there's no Vitalik from the very start, I think that it will still succeed but not the same as today since most of the early projects still got the recognition and thrived through the years because of their development.

He needs to think very carefully about this and begin to groom a successor or he needs to do something similar to what satoshi did and find a group of people that take care of his project when he decides to leave or he dies, if he doesn't I really think that something similar is going to happen to ethereum than what happened with Apple, Steve Jobs was Apple, and when he was forced out the first time the company was struggling, then when he came back the company once again reached its former glory, and now that he has passed away Apple is once again not what it used to be.

Bitcoin has done it without Satoshi around, why not on Ethereum, there are a lot of good developers within the team Vitalik can train them, and besides they are a stable organization they can hire fresh talents that can infuse more development within the Ethereum technology, Vitalik knows that he cannot be at it forever.

Hmmmh good question I think my answer will be there are always other coins I really appreciate vitalik work but how will Barcelona survive without Messi pissed but will still progress and maybe do fine but they won't die so hey things move but the biggest sole leader is vitalik in terms of eth but not the only person that's my point
