Self-moderated topics are another practical solution which angers fantastically the psywarfare operatiors and others trolls...
.
It would be great if this worked both ways as well. Obsessive users can cause quite a distraction when they want to and their intentions almost never have what's best for Bitcoin in mind. Sometimes like the AT&T girl and with regards to certain users and my input here, I feel like they've "
lost the privilege of looking at it" and this should be reflected with a block button. I've already made the
request for the new forum software, but I'm sure there are plenty of already written block updates for SMF that could be simply implemented here if it was desired to do so.
Man ! you are awesome ! you are sooo right ! they have even lost the privilege to look at if logged ! love you
. my theory is that it is used to tempt us, to let the psywarfare operators a chance to try to affect us. I guess maybe a "deal with the devil" kind of scenario?
I think that the purpose of the forum is to listen to everyone, and therefore ignoring is against the opinion of someone with whom you do not agree, but this does not mean that all opinions are incorrect or unimportant.
As for removing it completely, it's a good idea but I don't think it will be implemented soon, I suggest you use any userscrpit code instead.
Currently I use one that hides all low quality comments.
You should read more about psywarfare and psychological campaign against specific opposition targets, the savak (american secret police) is rotten and corrupt to the core, and will use all necessary means to protect their regime, the establishement, salaries and pensions. they are faithless and soulless.
That's a nice idea ! Would you mind sharing it please?
This is a simple proposal. Sometimes, for more intense pleasure to read and participate here, we all end up "ignoring" some users
As such rather than see this polluting line : This user is currently ignored. Why not simply shadow banned the ignore list?
I think it would be easier for reading and less tempting to un-ignore nefarious posters.
People can change and the line "This user is currently ignored" reminds you that member was ignored by you. If you remember that case, have time to glance at post history to find potential changes or want to bury the hatchet, the UnIgnore button works.
Many people don't change but some of them do. And if you are open-minded, want to refresh your Ignore list, it is helpful.
You won't have to go to your Profile and check your Ignore list in Ignore User options.

Above is your Ignore list.
No that's imho the naive opinion, as said above : create temptation, so that psywarfare operators have a chance to reach those they target.
I've been using guitarplinker's userscript for quite some time now:
Thank you! I had no idea a script like that existed--now I'll just have to figure out how to use it, but I definitely will. Despite suchmoon's comments toward the OP of this thread (which I respect), I still think it's a decent suggestion. If you ignore a user, it's annoying to even see that they've posted something. I don't know how many times I've "peeked" at an ignored user's post--and I used to do that a lot when cryptohunter was around.
The irony is that I have the OP of that thread on ignore for some reason. I'll have to take a look at his most recent posts to see if he should be un-ignored. Again, I appreciate your link.
That's exactly my point, visual comfort in reading, to not have "breaks" of flow. However as you said, earlier I had ignored "badecker" to finally remove him from it and accept him as he was, with all his qualities and flaws
.
Thanks for sharing the script lists.
