Frustrating search results.

When you do a search on this Forum the results pop up and there is no order at all to it. I have to scroll down past Months/years old posts to find anything up to date.

Why is there no option to sort "Oldest to newest" or vice versa instead of scrolling through the madness?

Is there a way and i'm just missing it?

Click on the "Search" menu beside the profile menu. And Check out the search order setting at the below part. You can sort by oldest first and/or most recent first along with some other option. Hope this is what you are looking for.

I don't know if there's a way to sort the results based on date, but I'm sure you'll get an answer to that from someone who knows.  What I wanted to say was that the search function on this forum is indeed frustrating at times, and it's one of the few features that I think need an upgrade sooner rather than later.  I don't know how many times I've searched for something in the hardware wallet section only to be presented with what seem like random results when I know there's a thread in particular I'm looking for that should show up but doesn't--and yes, I know how to use the search function correctly.

Whenever this new forum software gets released, I'm hoping this is one of the things that gets fixed (though as I said, it'd be nice if there could be some improvements made on the current version of bitcointalk).
