NFTs can be some of the simplest and laziest products, and somehow they fetch millions upon millions for their creators. I'm not saying that there aren't any cool NFTs of anything, just that a poorly made image of mickey mouse by an artist can sell for millions even though there is no original creation there. In fact, I'm sure there should be some sort of copyright violation there. Is it a bubble or is it revolutionary? And do you guys think it's normal for someone to spend millions of dollars on a digital image that you could just right click and save for free? Or is there really value in NFTs?

Also one conspiracy theory explores the fact that it's just a front for money laundering, could that be the case?

One word for sure, it's a bubble.

Although the revolutionary part of those play to earn features that's where something different came up from that idea. And it's changing the way people look at NFTs these days.

But the NFT arts, they really are expensive whenever I look at it. Well, as long as there's a market and there are people willing to buy, we shall see where it's headed.

isn't it they are both scam as well?

seeing from the many successes of nft, I don't think nft is a scam...

Copyright infringement? I don't think so, even though many of the pictures have been modified, the colors are different too. nft has given artists a little future, it's just a matter of luck from them.

I think it is not a scam but it could be a scam in the future. When the project can still running well for a long time, that could mean the project is not trying to scam people because they want to contribute to the crypto world by giving their services to people. But if somehow, their project is getting slow in the development and the team are disappearing one by one and finally, all of the team leave the project, that could mean a scam. You need to be very careful selecting the NFT project because not all NFT project will have their chance to survive in the crypto world.

Saw that mickey was being sold. Many artists could really draw better than it, it's really unusual to see someone bought such art so this is just an example of its scam. I do think the bidders are just the same people just as a scam on eBay. But if it's just a legitimate art in which the NFT represents ownership, I think it's not that scam at all.  NFTs are new, there could be more to be done with it just like Defi which the institutions are also up to recreate.

Yes, the crypto market is not stable so you have to analyze the market well before saying scam. Although the price of this currency has come down a bit compared to the past it seems that it has a near future go ahead believing NFT currency is not a scam its price will go up

It actually doesn't make much sense to me to pay huge amounts of money for mere art... I was wondering why till I remembered that people have been paying so much money for physical arts.     It would have made some sense if the arts have very valuable features or codes that can make people's life better or something.
Or maybe they have hidden information people who are aware of them find very valuable....for example, hiding a piece of info of locations of hidden treasures, foods etc on NFT and selling to people slightly higher than the real value of the things hidden in different locations.

DeFi provides services, am I right? NFTs are sold and bought based on value artificially set. You see what I mean? If you're interested in the art itself, you could right click and save it. Buying an 8 bit art that is a copy of someone else's work for millions of dollars, that is a different case and cannot be related to DeFi or any movements trying to advance the financial sphere. One thing I respect with NFTs is the royalties system. The original artist always profits from later sales made. Other than that, my question is: Could you justify spending 500,000 USD on an 8 bit art that was made in 30 minutes or less?

You may be forgetting the legal battle Disney has on their ownership of their "characters". They own them and only THEY are allowed to profit off of their images. It may seem predatory but that is copyright law for you, my friend. When taking this idea into consideration, you can tell that there is a clear violation. As for using the word scam here, it is to provoke an argument Cheesy

NFT is one of the most popular and controversial now , so best to understand the market before pointing it as a scam.

Understand that we provided a crypto payment service (actual active program used by many users) that allows receiving and sending crypto with 0% commission). Do you see how that isn't a scam, my friend?

As for calling out NFTs for being a scam,

understand that this is to provoke an argument.

When starting a thread this way, you're actively engaging different point of views. It may not be a scam, but if you carefully read my thread, you'd see that the question was:

Could you justify spending millions on a piece of art created in a jiff Smiley

The argument could come down to this:

Are NFTs worth spending hundreds of thousands on? Or will your investment have absolutely no return in the future?

Yeah.

If it's not a bubble then we'll keep seeing those prices to blow up our minds and artworks that have sold at a very huge price. But once we start to see it go down.

Prices will drop and everyone will speculate the same thing about the bubble.

And do you guys think it's normal for someone to spend millions of dollars on a digital image that you could just right click and save for free? Or is there really value in NFTs?

Also one conspiracy theory explores the fact that it's just a front for money laundering, could that be the case?

We will get the answer to this in the future, but if you don't have to make a choice already, don't worry too much about it, my friend.

The thing is I had a few videos that are incredibly gorgeous, was thinking if anyone would even be interested in buying them as NFTs which was followed by self-doubt then didn't think about it again. The constant thought is that it's a bubble and I wouldn't benefit if I listed my content but let's just wait and see. I personally have never posted an NFT because gas prices are incredibly high! Makes it hard to attempt to sell a digital asset xD
