The story of two farmers.

There were two friends named; Mr. Secret and Mr. Linus. Both decided to venture into farming.
Mr. Secret decided to make his farm all family affairs, such that no other person apart from him and family members has access to the farm. He alone knows the type of farming system adopted, he knows the type of fertiliser and manures used. He acquired the farm tools himself and uses the family members as labourers. Most times he will not be aware when new varieties or hybrid of seeds are available for upgrade.
Further, the security of the farm is taking care by himself alone even when the rate of security challenges increases in his neighbourhood. His farm produces are also sold and maybe expensive in the market. The species of crops he produces may go into extinction if he and family decides to stop farming. Let me stop talking about this man, because he is as his name implies "Secret".

In the other hand, his friend called Mr. Linus decided to involve all the neighbourhood in his farm. He showed them his methods of farming, and also allowed them to be innovative and apply their individual methods of farming in the farm, and making sure no one charges anyone for the modification. Hence, the farm was no longer owned by Mr. Linux because had no single secret about the farm. He left the farm for a vacation, before he could come back, many changes were made in the farm. He had no option than to continue from where others stopped.
So, no farmers outlives his/her abilities. When you are tired you pave way and others will continue were you stopped.
In terms of security, all the farmers secure the farm because they all have stake in the farm. But most times, things go wrong because some malicious farmers will plant weed at night after wheat was planted in the day.
Customers like patronising Mr. Linus farm which has now turned to public farm because at everytime in the market you would be sure of availability of variations of produce at affordable prices.
But another draw back of this farm is, after planting, if something goes wrong in the farm, no one takes responsibility because it's a joint effort. But before things go wrong, some expert farmers will notice and fix it immediately. But, if someone returns a farm produce that is bad, no one will accept it. So, there was no customer relationship management, yet people could not stop patronising them because most of their produce are free.
It is worthy to note that young farmers or learners like Mr. Linus farm because they could visit the farm anytime and see the methods of different peoples farming. From there, they can develop.

My questions;
Why did Bitcoin which is an advocate of privacy join the Mr. Linus (public) farm instead of Mr. Secret's farm?
