Would you prefer to buy GPUs out of your country at a lesser price and wait for a month to get them or buy them in your country and pay high price and start mining instantly?

It's better to go with cheap GPU if you can find them, it's not as if you can get your ROI back in a month if you buy high price GPUs so why not wait? Even if bear market comes after a month atleast you get those GPUs at cheaper price so you will still be fine, just think.

It all depends on how much you paying for a GPU, the best thing to do is never pay overpriced for GPU, if it's going to take a month to reach you and you are paying less for the GPUs it's way better because bears can attack at any time, try to play safe

if the price difference is huge enough (like, you get 2 gpus buying overseas after paying taxes etc, but only get 1 gpu for the same amount of money on your country), i think it's worth to try. if not, probably not. for example, in my country the gpus supply suck so bad, but buying overseas doesn't help that much even if there's a difference of $200-300 since we need to pay taxes etc.

I think this tax thing is for those in the U.S and other part of the country, this doesn't apply to me since I'm in Africa I don't pay tax when buying items from outside country, the only issues I get is waiting for a long time to get the goods and logistics prices are sometimes higher too

The point is everyone is in rush to make some money back before bear market gets here, you could buy locally but it's uncertain that bear market won't be here anytime soon but if you are preparing for bear market it's better to buy out if the country for cheaper price, it won't matter which time the GPUs arrive since you are in for a long term mining

I am very surprised that most of the threads I see in the miner section are people saying there is a bear market coming. And I don't know if its because ETH topped at like $4000 and then went below $2000 for a while and now its back up OR if its because their mining revenues are lower.

You need to understand that the market price of ETH has nothing to do with your profitability as a miner. Right now there are alot of factors at play. One of them is the ETH price, another is the overall difficulty, another is the unpredictable miner revenue due to the london hard fork, another is the transaction fees which can go up one week and go down the next week. Another issue is the variable that comes into play by how much of those transaction fees actually goes into miner pool and how much is actually burnt.

The worst of those factors being the burned fees, this is I think the one determining factor that has made our daily revenue as miners go down for the same hashrate processing power. The other factors are too but the difficulty is not one of them as it is in the 7.5-7.8 P range from quite some time.Ethereum price is also a big factor but we have to see it as just Ethereum crypto and not Fiat value otherwise we may come to the wrong conclusions.

That's so sad to think of if I buy local products here in my country because I won't get cheaper one compared if buying directly from manufacturers.
There's a possibility that class A product will be purchased if we found out some cheap GPU, but the performance in mining might be less efficient.

Nah i wouldn't buy gpus above msrp price, just holding coin, and maintenance rigs already have, wait for bear market next year and start expanding the mining, even you buy gpus at 2x msrp in this very moment should be roi in the end of bull run, i will wait for right time to expand, and most likely new gpu will release better hashrate

I've already made purchase of some GPUs this year and even last month and I'm not looking for quick returns, I could buy more GPUs right now but bear market will make me get more numbers of GPU the easy way, buy cheap GPUs or wait for bear market, I feel it's already too late because we only have 5 more months left to enter 2022

You already have a rig so it's another thing entirely, how about someone who want to start building mining rig right now? We could say that this bull market isn't going to last any longer and in the next 5 months BTC is still over 35,000$
