Hello all! I am new to the forums and looking to get into mining! I posted this same question on Reddit and was met with some "lol 10k? Rookie numbers" so I would appreciate some actual assistance here not a comment on how much money I DONT have 😔

I have $10k that I can use on equipment, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'm looking for a GOOD machine/machines that will actually generate profit. I've scoured google for hours and hours finding very vague descriptions on some pretty sketchy websites.

If anyone has some reputable sites, please link!

I would like to mine Scrypt based currency like Doge/LTC and hopefully move up to mine different crypto as time goes on.

Any help is really really appreciated!!!

whatever you do
dont spent in one place all your funds and in one time
spent small see how it works then buy more.
there are many things you have to solve
1) equipment
2) heat
3) witch pool
4) what coin
5) wallet
6) electricity bill
7) noise
Cool WAF  (wife acceptance factor) these have very low ha ha ha
9) price of coins
10) and the most important of all ROI

Well, at the moment I've taken my L3+'s out of retirement. They're averaging 0.05 LTC per day on litecoinpool each.
Tuned them down to use less electricity, so they're at 600-660 Watt. Then with electricity at 0.15 usd it's still worth it, especially if you pay in half a year and LTC appreciates in the mean time.

You could maybe pick some second hand ones up? The next batch of Scrypt miners is going to be sent out by October and November, which will be 3425 Watt for 9500 Mh/s, so a third of the W for your Mh.

Is your electricity cheap? Then the L3+ will still be of some interest if you can buy them cheap secondhand.

Oh, and keep in mind that if you heat with electric you could spend a bit on silencing them, so you can heat with them too and spend "less" on the mining.

Yet another version of a newbie asking for help to get rich quick. Makes a perfect target for scammers.

If you like Scrypt your question is already answered as L3+ is the best option yet with another upgraded miner being shipped late October which will do much better compared to L3+ because of a much higher hash rate.

However if I had 10k to spend I would build a rig with 5 RTX 3080 non-LHR and this would generate around 450-500 Mhsh depending on cooling factor and Gpu silicon chip.Right now 450 Mhsh makes 31 USD daily mining Ethereum and 500 Mhsh makes 35 USD daily, yearly profits of  nearly 11.8k and 12.9k respectively,so you would get ROI within less than one year taking for granted for example the difficulty is flat and the price also flat. Also you have other options to mine like Ravencoin with Nvidia cards and a few more algorithms compared with AMD cards. This is what I would do with that money.
