There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

People have often compared crypto to stocks since owning a coin, represents your "share" of the decentralized blockchain network. Exchanges act as brokers in a similar fashion to traditional stocks. While stocks are fiercely regulated, crypto is the "wild west". Cryptocurrencies are extremely volatile, while stocks are much more stable. Despite crypto/Blockchain tech's popularity, stocks are still preferred by mainstream investors and traders alike.

Which asset types do you think are better: crypto or stocks? Is crypto getting closer to becoming regulated just like stocks? What do you think will happen if institutional investors come into play? Will stocks transition themselves to the Blockchain? Or is it still too early to tell? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

If I have a lot of capital, I will definitely invest both in crypto and stocks. Stocks are much more stable than crypto but the possibility of getting more profit is in crypto. Both of them have strengths and weaknesses. And also crypto is riskier than investing in stocks because of its volatility but still many people invest in crypto because of high return so it is better to have both.

Stocks are as stable as gold. But the risk of stocks is also relatively large. Maybe you become rich in an instant. It is also possible to change from the rich to the poor.
The same is true when comparing stocks and cryptocurrencies. All investments are risky. But I personally think that stock investment is simpler than cryptocurrency.
I studied stocks before I became familiar with cryptocurrencies. If the funds are available. You can invest in both.

A trader makes an agreement with his trading for the exchange of cash difference in price from the opening and closing price at which the contract ends but crypto is more profitable than stocks lack of knowledge about the stock market will bring it down at once it is very difficult to reduce the risk. There are risks in crypto the amount of currencies for investment can be reduced, but it is possible to reduce the risk by investing in other sites by comparison I prefer crypto to stock.

Stocks are only suitable for those who already have stable and wealthy finances, they don't care about profits so they take safe steps, while cryptocurrencies are high-risk investments that can make new rich people in a year or less.

Using bitcoin or any crypto for similar work of stock wouldn't work for a company because people controlling that firm would have to answer the taxes and illegal activities (if any of the company) to the government but with crypto, it's very hard to trace the payments which make it hard for a censored place.

It is not that bitcoin will do good in the place of stock but it's the control that it will challenge and people who have control in that place will do their best to maintain it.

The majority of stocks now are down due to covid. Crypto becomes bullish because people prefer to use digital currency over notes to prevent the possible passing of the coronavirus.

it's really just a matter of returns between stocks and crypto, whether people are rich or not. indeed, if you look at crypto, it promises greater profits, but stocks have less risk than crypto. therefore we ourselves judge whether we dare to take risks in crypto. and of course because crypto has not yet been legalized, many of the shareholders are reluctant to invest in crypto

They are pretty similar as an investment but I think the main difference is like you said, with stocks, we can have a share or proportion of the company, meanwhile if it's crypto, we don't have such thing. We just have the coin, but it's not tangible so we can't really see or feel it. Other than that, crypto is more regulated, not too much out of control, and has less risk too. Meanwhile crypto has higher risk, but of course bigger profits in return as well. None of them is really better than each other, it's all depend on the person, whether they like crypto more or stocks more. All will have different opinion. Although i myself prefer crypto for a long term investment, especially bitcoin, meanwhile stocks is more suitable for trading for me.

They both involved high risk and high reward, crypto's is just much better when it comes to rewards with bitcoin as a proof for rewards. I think they have their own merits that we should consider, stocks if chosen correctly is able to give you a really good money especially passive income with some oof them paying dividends.

The majority of stocks now are down due to covid. Crypto becomes bullish because people prefer to use digital currency over notes to prevent the possible passing of the coronavirus.

Yes, in fact when the covid-19 just started, which was at the end of 2019 where only in China some information had been leaked, everything was on the right track, then by the beginning of 2020 when in China they could no longer hide the problem, it all started to get tense and once the virus spread both the Stock Market and the BTC market started to fall.

The losses were very large because the Stock Market many investors sold cheap while the Chinese or the Chinese government was buying, once in China they declared that they had already overcome the Covid-19 and the economy in Europe and the USA was falling, this helped a lot because they bought cheap, but the BTC was beginning to recover, in fact the BTC recovered much faster than the Stock Market, this guarantees that the BTC in crisis tends to function for many people as a great refuge of value.

You only mention the bad side of stock, you didn't mention the good side of it. The lesser the volatility of a market, the less damage you experience when price tend to fall, this is why stock is always confined and safe for beginners.
Crypto is very volatile and one has to be very vigilant. There was a time during covid-19 period when market was so volatile, the market was so scared that orders don't get filled up when people try to closed there positions and in that case, it will be suicidal when you try market trade or sell at current market price because you will definitely be rekt with such move. Volatility plays both side.
