Bots and fake accounts in Telegram channels

For now there is none, but simply we can see the online number of all group members is usually at least half of the total active in the chat group to ensure that the telegram group is not inhabited by bots.

Telegram is a good platform for building  community for project, but the amount of bots created specifically for cheating is staggering!  There is a lots of impersonation going on in there also.  I think i haven't found an app like telegram yet apart from discord etc.

If it is to identify the real account in a group, so far I don't find any.
But, there are some ways to know that the accounts may be fake only but by checking manually.
Mostly, the fake accounts will only go to the group and spread the spam once and will not be active again. "or, they'll only join immediately in groups with other telegram accounts and if we see their last active, it will be a long time ago.

We can also see from the numbers of all members in the group, how many members are active to chat in the group?

Additionally, we can also set a more strict regulation in order to decrease the fake accounts or spammers do spam or join the group by doing:
- Captcha
- Username set is a must

There's no way for us to determine those spammers and scammer who flooded our telegram, one way to deal with them was report and block them manually.
Also, I'm getting tired with them actually but I patiently avoid them through that method.
However, we should be careful on who will be the anonymous person that we're going to communicate in telegram because it's to dangerous for our privacy if we're going to trust strangers.

There's no way for us to determine those spammers and scammer who flooded our telegram, one way to deal with them was report and block them manually.

We don't have to entertain PMs if we are not sure who we are dealing with unless if we do the PM first.

I was not a victim of a scam but I was a victim of receiving PM from a person that I was not expecting any. For the growing numbers of fake accounts and bots, it was a big challenge for us, and even using Captcha verification could still be bypass, of course, it works for bots but not for those who use fake accounts as they are not all robots.

We often think that a telegram group that has a huge number of members seems to be legit but to find out that most of them are just a bot and fake accounts. This was very common these days and we don't know how that it works if there is a telegram moderation has been made otherwise, we could think that this is just a trick to attract people and join them which have nothing to talk you but just a robot only.

For now, it was too hard to control this as we are in the computer era, it was easier for some people to make fake accounts and bots that even having a restriction and a sort of verification couldn't be enough.

Because there are too many services offer now on how to add a Telegram bot member on a group or a channel and so far, I didn't find any services that identify a bot in a telegram group or channel.  That is probably a reason that Telegram is a house of scammers and fraudsters because it is easy to fake even a member of a group/channel.

yeah, that's one easy way, report or ignore. but wondering what is the action of telegram after reporting an account? is it going to be banned or deleted? i tried before, reporting a channel. but unfortunately, i haven't followed up what happened after my report. anyway, telegram should find a way how to streamline fake accounts. i guess, they can do something about it.

As far as I know, the telegram team will grant 'scam' mark or 'fake' mark, on the account. Then they will limit the activity of the account. If it is a telegram group, they probably lock the group, so people cannot comment or publish anything there. I think that action is quite effective, scammers cannot use the account anymore at least.
