For the few months I have been in this forum, I discovered without being told that one really need some digital skills to remain effective and relevant here on the long run. Though, only the knowledge of cryptocurrencies is enough. But someone like me, I am not well knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies, which I know this forum will educate me and has been doing.

When I looked at the service thread, I saw people offering different services of avatar design, signature design, software design etc.

Apart from that, I saw CryptopreneurBrainboss and others managing campaigns and also have own services. I saw DdmrDdmr, LoyceV, Ratimov, Fillippone and others always posting data like number of merits earned, newbies first post, most merit awards, they talk about whitepaper and lots more. I keep wondering how they generate these information. I often wish to join the discussions, but they appear high technical to me . I like being successful in anything I do. Yes, I know success needs commitment and perseverance. Even the aforementioned names have been here for years, hence there enviable knowledge.

Please, is it to early/late for me to start somewhere? I am not that comfortable with only posting and contributing texually here. I need to solve technical problems.
Please, what are the basic steps I will take, what are the basic skills I need now that are not that financial intensive. Because I am still under the trauma and/or defeat of fraud/scam before I joined this forum.

I really need to be a positive energy in this forum in the future. I therefore have to create this thread to get started. I have enough time, apart from being here I don't have things that will take my time offline.

Thank you all.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

It's never too early or late to develop yourself and learn new skills. If you wish to contribute to the forum beyond replying and making threads, you could start from being an active reporter and scam buster, this doesn't require lots of technicalities and it is a very useful contribution.

Beyond these, you'll need to acquire some skill that will enable you carve out a niche for yourself as some of those other members have done.

It's not too early and also it's not too late to start here. it's probably the right time for you, don't worry about it.
you must first have a certain passion for crypto and cryptocurrencies, that is basic. try to connect your presence on the forum with some of your personal interests, something you are well acquainted with.
like the example you gave, some users had design skills, and they present themselves in this way. the other group is the news in data handling so they post various statistics here.
be sure not to hesitate to seek any help here or some explanation. This community is very generous with the sharing of knowledge.

Most of the members that you mention being good at statistics have their own websites which take the data from Bitcointalk and give it to you. There is the merit dashboard which has everything you will ever need for merit on the forum. BPIP is another website that collects data about members of the forum. Loyvce has their own website which has a lot of data that they have scraped from the forum. If you want to scrape your own data you will need to learn to program it and then you will need a database and be able to read that. Learn SQL.

Apart from that, I saw CryptopreneurBrainboss and others managing campaigns and also have own services. I saw DdmrDdmr, LoyceV, Ratimov, Fillippone and others always posting data like number of merits earned, newbies first post, most merit awards, they talk about whitewater and lots more. I keep wondering how they generate these information. I often wish to join the discussions, but they appear high technical to me . I like being successful in anything I do. Yes, I know success needs commitment and perseverance. Even the aforementioned names have been here for years, hence there enviable knowledge.

Those users have some different skills.
To create something like bpip you need to be a full stack developer, learning how to maintain a database , backend and front end coding ...
Others have much simpler websites that do only basic scrapping and chrono jobs,Ike LoyceV 's
Ddmddmr is good with statistical tools and dashboards softwares.

It all depends on your skills. If you want to develop something like that you need to learn basic coding and there are many different websites around that can help you. The most common languages to begin with are javascript and python

The funny thing is: I don't think I am high technical.
In the forum, there are many users more technical, in a way or another, than me.
Where do I draw interest or inspiration for what I write? I write about what interests me, and where I think I can give my contribution to the community.
I write in other threads, where more knowledgeable users than me take the ball of the discussion, but I use that space to learn.
As I wrote in a thread of mine, I think that this forum is all about knowledge.

Your right at OP. Creating threads or commenting isn't the only thing there is on the forum. As such the forum has got careers too and those with the know how has found a way to exploit it for there benefits, good for them. Though, that's not all that is. As myers of a forum, we've got our problems and a solution for them are the things we must provide, little wonder why some users like LoyceV stay ahead of most persons. Not quite long ago LoyceV topped the most merits profile. This entails his her service to the forum as per providing tools that solves certain forum issues and keep the stats.
It's a thing  you could do too. The forum is open to accepting suggestions and innovations that is sure to aid it in the long run, if you've got any, Meta iw most welcomed to accept your suggestion and contributions to the forum.

I don't think there's much knowledge with paywalls these days.

Sure you pay extra for a well polished course or a qualification but if you're just doing stuff for fun - leave it that way unless you can get something more out of it that still keeps it fun.

If you're wanting to gain technical crypto knowledge from the forum - the best place to go is to look at the technical and beginners boards. If you find a topic where a newbie has asked a newbie type question, it's very likely there are links in the responses to the thread or things explained in ways you'll be able to understand (either for if you're not very technical for certain responses or too technical for others that they seem ambiguous).

It's important to remember everyone has gaps in their understanding. No one person can understand everything of one particular field but you'll always be able to learn more and get excited about your new knowledge as a tradeoff for that.

Thank you all.

I read your historical postings and found that you are very good at gaining strengths, are very talkative, very likable, and sometimes very confident, such as

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5343711.msg57229427# msg57229427

You are good at posting in the novice section. I don't know why. Behind your modest and low-key, there seems to be a purpose that you don't want to tell others? Do you want to post an altcoin project in the near future? Now you want to accumulate some network resources and influence? I feel that your purpose is obvious. Haha, you can PM. Your character background is very consistent with your posting style, I will pay attention to you.

Great people are always eye-catching, but the way everyone writes and answers questions has traces. For example, Mutter’s violin song-the song of wandering, the temperament of a noble lady is always indispensable, and I have found some "newbies" who are growing up very fast.

@kaggie,@rainbowkun,@kxwhalexk,  I feel that these people are thoughtful and knowledgeable, and I have learned a lot from their posts (I have been a tourist for almost half a year in bitcoinforum).

@KingsDen
I am skeptical of you, I hope you will be a spine, You are good at complimenting others(excellent people have listened too much)。

From the impression you create, you are in a very rush. There are a lot of you on the forum. Recurring topics for newbies, and constant warnings about the prohibition of plagiarism, or the rules in general, made I think you were writing for merits.
But now, you have enough merits. Exhale, and think about why you need a forum? What do you want to get from him? Knowledge about cryptocurrencies? Then study them deeper. Do you want to make money? Join a subscription company. Can you do something that is not here on the forum or a little? Share your knowledge. Find information outside the forum, collect it together and bring it here. This is what one of the people you listed above does. The main thing is not to rush from side to side. Pick one thing to start with and go for it.

Seeing your topic, I thought it was a post that could bring forum knowledge to novices. The content of the result has nothing to do with the subject, don’t you think? The same is that 50% of your questions are in the novice section, and the content is to thank the old users of the forum. I want to know what value you can bring to the entire forum by doing so. I think it is understandable to send one or two thank-you topics normally, but always thank you makes me feel that your purpose is not simple.
Such a long text is not the way to get merit on the forum. To solve technical problems, you can choose to go to the technical section to raise the problem you want to solve, or browse related posts to leave your questions.I don't understand your operation in the novice sector, your purpose is elusive.

That's the beauty of Bitcoin. It opens up new markets where you can monetize your skills and work for crypto. Some people buy and hold, others trade, but I think the best way to acquire Bitcoin is to work for it by investing your time instead of money. Some users are doing that by creating artwork, writing, translating, coding, managing campaigns, etc. If you have those talents, you can do it too.

When it comes to statistics and various data you see posted on the forum, you will realize that most of that comes from a handful of members. You mentioned some of them in your OP. I am sure that if you just asked them, they would be glad to help and push you in the right direction.

Op you spend enough time in B&H, you didn't have to create a thread to ask questions you already know the answers to. You mentioned usernames who you think are technical, a simple pm could have given you your answer but you would have missed those merits. I can't say on what premise you were introduced to the forum, your growth is remarkable, you have the required rank to participate in signature campaigns. I think you already know that since you applied in one recently. Like Lovesmayfamilis said you can do whatever you want just don't break the forum rules. Before you devote your entire time to the forum, remember the forum is not a job!

Every topic created or thread opened has a purpose. The creator of such topic will not be satisfied until his/her purpose of opening the thread is achieved. The purposes can be and not limited to; information gaining, information giving, merit gaining, merit giving, inspiration, learning, teaching, marketing etc.

One good thing about the forum is, no matter how different the individual inclinations towards the topic would be, surely every topic created doesn't go without the OP achieving the purpose of the thread.

Thank you to these users below, I am sure more to come.

@Upgrade00: Beyond these, you'll need to acquire some skill that will enable you carve out a niche for yourself as some of those other members have done

@examplens: you must first have a certain passion for crypto and cryptocurrencies, that is basic. try to connect your presence on the forum with some of your personal interests, something you are well acquainted with...be sure not to hesitate to seek any help here or some explanation. This community is very generous with the sharing of knowledge.

@Zedpastin: If you want to scrape your own data you will need to learn to program it and then you will need a database and be able to read that. Learn SQL.

@bitmover: If you want to develop something like that you need to learn basic coding and there are many different websites around that can help you. The most common languages to begin with are javascript and python

@fillippone: The important thing is: find your own way. This is the only way to do it if you want to stay here for long.

@jackg: If you're wanting to gain technical crypto knowledge from the forum - the best place to go is to look at the technical and beginners boards

@Lovesmayfamilis: Pick one thing to start with and go for it.

@Pmalek: ...I am sure that if you just asked them, they would be glad to help and push you in the right direction.

Bravo!

~
Please, is it to early/late for me to start somewhere? I am not that comfortable with only posting and contributing texually here. I need to solve technical problems.
Please, what are the basic steps I will take, what are the basic skills I need now that are not that financial intensive. Because I am still under the trauma and/or defeat of fraud/scam before I joined this forum.

I really need to be a positive energy in this forum in the future. I therefore have to create this thread to get started. I have enough time, apart from being here I don't have things that will take my time offline.

Thank you all.
Sorry to hear about that trauma you went through, OP.
Well it is not really too late to start so don't worry. Everyone has their own story. You're kind of limiting yourself too much from what I can interpret in what you're saying. You can start everywhere and not just here in the forum actually, even if it is a crypto-related.

Every user is serving a different purpose on the forum and you don't need to engage all the discussion but if you are serious about that then give it time and slowly develop those skills which can make you capable of that to take active participation on each topic. Those members you are taking about have not developed those websites and data collecting in one go but have taken their time and have technical knowledge of coding. So you need to learn such programming languages like phyton,c++,java and some frontend languages like js or CSS and then have logical building to make up some sites or solve complex bitcoin problems and suggest some BPIP.You have to master that things and that will take some time.

But if you talk about other members who are not so technically sound but still gaining merits is because they have contributed effectively on the forum and created useful threads for newbies and helped the other members with their knowledge. So they get merits for the same.If you are having some useful information about bitcoin and want to actively participate in that discussion just give your some legitimate and original ideas or good thoughts to enhance the discussion and no need to have any kind of technical knowledge for the same.

The forum has many boards like bitcoin discussion,B&H ,Political, Economics,Trading Discussion and some local boards which doesn't require any technical bitcoin or cryptocurrency knowledge. But only thing required is knowledge and you can gain it time to time from different sources.Sometimes we are in rush to take part in everything which can be harmful because jumping into topics with half or less knowledge could ruin your image. So give some time as you are doing good on the forum already as there are members who have not gained any merits from long time but you have managed to gain enough so enjoy and keep posting the same or in more better manner.

Rest if you are interested in learning then best choice is to read Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos that can give you enough of bitcoin knowledge that is required at most cases.

Try to learn as much as possible and give it time and you will definitely reach your goals one day and become effective member of the forum.

Forum is for Bitcoin discussion and the matter is will you stay in the forum, keep your interests in Bitcoin after all. Merit does not increase your knowledge of Bitcoin and it does not keep you in the market, in the Bitcoin community.

Forum is not created for merit, it is for Bitcoin discussions, developments, technical supports, community suggestions. You can discuss with 0 merit and as newbie.

lovesmayfamilis is right. You write in a hurry every time you create a post. It's like writing for merit. Including the merit you send.
I think you have a thread that says You want to help newbies.。But I took a look at the merits you recently posted. They are all for heroes or legends, although they are indeed worthy of merit.

I haven't noticed any help you give to newbies. What you do is completely different from your post.
Your summarizing ability is very strong and you are good at complimenting others. This is your advantage.

New users create many topics to ask. I don't know that they really asked or they only tried to create topics to find merits. Many questions can be answered by Search and don't need to create topic to ask.

It's not about OP. I see newbies mentioned names of members who help them to rank up and receive more merit from merit sources. Merit sources do their free jobs and you don't have to mention them.

Grin Perhaps newbies hoard their smerit after they receive merit.
