Good day to you all!

I have been invited to use a Blockchain wallet this one:
.bito
ke[Suspicious link removed]o/#/. (it's https, so it partly secure at least?!)

Also been suggested to invest in SNC star network channel, the coin goes well, not staggering but enough to pique interest.

Anyone heard of the Blockchain wallet and the SNC coin?

It would be my first investment and some advice would be greatly appreciated

Something called a blockchain wallet should be findable on blockchain.com - if not, it's likely a scam.

I think you should endeavour to do a decent amount of research on an altcoin before you invest (if you don't want to take on too much risk). You could at least find the coin's website, forum or github to see how it does and it's community.

The link of what you were asking for seems to have been removed. Can you please send a screenshot of the link of the site you were asking about?

Who is suggesting to you to invest in star network channel "coin". Have you checked the star network channel support and asked them if they have any coin they are affiliated with?
Even then, nobody just comes out of nowhere and suggests to you to invested in a certain coin? You can't predict the market just like that.

You could use the remaining keyword "Bitoke" it seems it is a cloud mining site with offers and surveys.

To earn Bitcoin from that site you need to do some offers and surveys to earn gems that you can use to mine on the site. This is just what I understand according to some video posted on youtube.

@Shinobi226

About SNC coin I would suggest you go directly on their official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1934763.0

And be careful on creating a wallet from a 3rd party it's not safe if you've been invited from a not well-known site don't use them instead ask the link here on the forum if it was safe. But since it was removed from your post it seems that the link you are trying to share is scam or possibly not secured and safe.

He was talking about Star Network Channel somewhere in his post, so I doubt if he meant the SunContract token  Smiley

For the SNC when I figure out how to post a screenshot i will share.

I verified on bitcoin abuse and searched for bitoken, it never got reported.

The way I got invited was from a tinder match (i spoke to the gal on WhatsApp (voice) so at least she is a girl. We began to spoke of other stuff but after a few days she told me she was investing and pointed out where.

I started looking into it then.

Newbie account can't able to post images due to restrictions but you can post an image link here.

According to the site, it seems they are mainly promoting their cloud mining with exchange and tried to search about the site. It's not a well-known site and never mention here on the forum.
And it seems the site is not finished yet if you access only the domain it will show you ads from GoDaddy but if you enter the whole URL you will access the main page.
Another thing that I notice is they have some wrong spelling words under the cloud mining page.

Whois
Code:
Registrar:GoDaddy.com, LLC
Registered On:2020-08-26
Expires On:2022-08-26
Updated On:2021-05-07

So my final analysis for this it's 99% possible scam if you are invited from that site be careful.

How did you found this site? I couldn't find this even on other community sites.

Have you promoting this?

@BitMaxz :  the thread suggested doesn't seem to be about the SNC I inquired about.

Could you share what SNC you talking about?

Could you identifyuch about her accent? Did she seem like a local or not? I know it's possible to change locations on tinder now so it mightve just been someone trying to come up with an innovative way of scamming.

As I can't post images, i can describe you how to get the information.

From the website previously stated.

Go to ieo hub

The SNC is the one on the top left.

As per the lady, she is Chinese. So her English is good but not perfect.

And no I am not promoting anything, i want advice, i did invest a small amount to test.  The coin goes up, making me want to invest more, but I am afraid and searching for reassurance from more experienced users

Very often, these sites are quasi-clones to other very similar sites, changing a bit here and there. This site in particular does not follow the usual scam pattern (I’ve spent a while trying to find similar sites), and although the TOS are cloned and adapted from other existing sites, that’s all I managed to get.

Nevertheless, the site is really crap, and they use images where developers usually place text and live counters.

The modus operandi is similar to the one I recently saw mentioned on my local board (see Es confiable esta plataforma? – in Spanish), where by Chinese women approach people to invest through Tinder+Whatsapp, the person makes a purchase of some sort on a site as such, and then is told that he can’t withdraw the amount unless they pay a further amount in concept of taxes or fees (or whatever other lame excuse). That usually escalates to demanding more, until the scammed opens his eyes to what’s really going on. 99% likely to be what’s happening here.

it's https, so it partly secure at least?!
Using the https protocole means that your communication with the website is encrypted and it protects mainly from the mitm attack but it doesn't mean in any way that the website and its content are safe!

i did invest a small amount to test.  The coin goes up, making me want to invest more
"You should never trust random persons you meet on the Internet especially when money is involved!"
Before investing any more, make a withdrawal request and see if they will let you cash out your earnings. Most likely they will ask you to deposit more to unlock withdrawals which is a known scam scheme.

Great strategy,

i know I cannot take out my funds until Sept 28th, I knew that before investing, as it's part of the launch.

The girl is supposed to be back in the city before the end of September, so I guess that we will see how it all turn out.

I'll keep you posted!

I did read the Spanish story and it's strikingly similar, i do regret that the guy didn't say after the closing date if it was a scam or not.

I now confirm that it was a scam, asked money to withdraw funds, now website doest load anymore. I reported these people to local police. Even if they probably won't do anything.

A few grand down the hole. A suggestion for other newbies, stick to well known market, and be suspicious of anyone that can predict the market with 100% accuracy.

A few grand down the hole.

So you were still scammed? It means you didn't listen to the other users here who pointed out that what you have encountered is most likely a scam?

You were asking for advice. More or less, you got it. Unfortunately, you continued to communicate with that scammer from Tinder. I'm not saying I don't completely blame you for what happened.

You were probably flirting not just with that girl but with a scam all along. The red flags were all there. Well, some lessons are learned the hard way.

If you are accepting investment advice from random people on the internet (worse on Tinder!) you should seriously rethink your life. Hopefully this turns into a good lesson for you (and those reading this topic) which prevents you from making similar mistakes in the future.

If you want to invest in cryptocurrencies or buy shittokens then you should simply sign up on a popular cryptocurrency exchange and start buying them directly. Of course you should first educate yourself about the risks involved and basic topics such as how to use a cryptocurrency wallet, etc.
