The surge in altcoins has led many traders to forecast the dawn of a new altcoin season. According to "The Moon" a pseudonymous Twitter analyst, altcoin seasons follow a major run-up in the price of BTC, especially when the price stalls or pulls back.

The trend will always be determined by bitcoin. Once bitcoin goes and whole of altcoins will be going down as well. The small correction that happens with bitcoin has been building a lot of bearish opinion by people.
The price of bitcoin is pulling back again but this is still not predictable. Remember that the price of bitcoin was doing rebound from 30k to the more than 45k.

Bitcoin may pulling back to below the support but it may be going up again in the next days. We are still in the early stage of the major run-up based on the all time chart of BTC

According to some analytics, there is a Bitcoin season now, but not altcoins.
But of course everything is connected in the crypto market, so with the growth of Bitcoin there is the growth of altcoins as well. All altcoins follow global Bitcoin’s trends. As when Bitcoin is dropping people are selling off something more risky at first and only then mainstream currencies, and vice versa.

I think that I'm the only person that thinks that bitcoin is big enough that become part of global markets. So collaps/pump of bitcoin price is not connected to inside crypto events like halving as much as it was few years ago. So I'm rather searching for big events outside of bitcoin. For example this huge 1.5 year rising wedge of SP500 index.

Breaking of which will cause 30-50% sell off. Such big bearish event will be instantly justify by massive amount of bearish news that everyone will start talk about that everyone ignore now (such as reverse repo market crisis). This will trigger massive panic on all markets including bitcoin. And no bullish patter that we see now on chart will stop bitcoin from 70% dump.

I'm not saying its about to start now. I'm saying that crypto investor should look not only on BTC chart.

Actually, almost every week new altcoins appear and even many have been released on the altcoin market even though Bitcoin is down and that is not a problem with altcoins because it depends on whether or not promotion is strong in the exchange market so that many investors want to invest in the new altcoin, the altcoin can join. cheap if the creator team is not consistent in introducing the altcoin,,,

Although I do not follow those analysts, I see that altcoin season will follow bitcoin season, which means that bitcoin price starts increasing and back to $47k.
The increases in bitcoin price trigger many altcoins to increase and for the top ten coins position, they are making a good movement and can rise higher than a few days ago.
If the bitcoin price can increase more than the price now, the altcoin can have more chances to grow and maybe some altcoins can give us surprise because that coins can increase so higher than before.
This time ADA, BNB, XRP, Doge increase back but the other altcoins will follow behind on that coins.

I see bitcoin's rise affecting the prices of other top altcoins, and I also own a few altcoins and bought them sometime in late 2020. I didn't even expect some of them to increase more than I thought.
as follows:
AXS $0.6 and selling $70
Matic $0.02 and selling $1.30
I sold 50% and I still hold the rest.

I don't believe this but if eventually a new altcoin season starts then it will be the last, say goodbye to crypto bulls until few years later because the bearish season we've all been waiting for will take over in just two months or so just like December 2017 and January 2018, analysts can't be trusted and the only way to find out is wait and see

It is what usually happens.

When bitcoin rises, then many of them are also coming up with that trend. But not all of them are also showing the same sentiment. Just as the usual too, the market is very unpredictable and sometimes showing some unusual connections.

Currently the market is slowly rising seeing the rising trend of bitcoin price, the price of altcoin is increasing. With the price of bitcoin and etherium rising again the demand for investment is increasing and new projects and companies are being added which has increased the demand for crypto and the season of altcoin is about to start. Investors are trying to pump the currencies by investing even if the currencies fall they will rise again.

The price movements of the past few days indicate that the altseason has started and maybe the price of altcoins will rise quite significantly. Bitcoin price continues to rise but is also followed by altcoins with a declining Bitcoin dominance indicating that investors are starting to buy altcoins and this is indicated by the altcoin transaction value increasing by tens of percent
It looks like it is. While Bitcoin's price has climbed to $ 48,908 today, at the same time its dominance rate has dropped to 43.8 percent. This indicates that a significant part of the capital is still invested in altcoins. Therefore, it is likely that soon we will see a good price increase in altcoins again. Against the background of good overall growth, ethereum is showing very modest achievements so far. This ace coin is still trampled at $ 3200 - $ 3300. Apparently due to the fact that so far there is not much progress in reducing transaction fees.

I can't consider altcoin season if there's a BTC price dominance prior. An altcoin season shouldn't be associated with a BTC price increase, therefore, altcoin season, if there's a trend like that, is not happening currently.

How can anyone claimed that the altcoin season has started if they were just brought up by BTC. That's the reason why I don't believe there's an altcoin season. There's no foundation for it. Once BTC crash again, altcoins will surely follow.

A surge in altcoins price? Like what altcoins are these?

There's no altcoin season that started but rather Bitcoin started to dominant again that started roughly a week ago and those altcoins just driven up with the trend. It's obvious, usual, and common to see that some altcoins are starting to rise once Bitcoin price is heaving a good run upwards.

The question is if these altcoins will sustain their current volume once the BTC price goes down again.

At this time alts looking so good. Some alts alreafy performed very well and some looking to breakout. Here we need Btc to be stable between 43k and 50k. If Btc stable for 1 week we will see altcoin will start journey to break ATH.
Bitcoin has a good performance this week as we can see the price can back to $48k and it still has a chance to break $49k soon. Some altcoin already rises again follow bitcoin price and it could be the next altcoin season coming to us. I think this month can allow us to make some nice profit from selling some amount of the coins before the price gets another correction. Hopefully, we do not need to wait until the end of this month to make a big profit.

Not 100% Altcoins follow the rise or fall of the Bitcoin price. The experience of many people who have been active in the market for a long time in trading, including myself, sees only some who have the influence of the rising and falling prices of Bitcoin such as Ethereum. If the new altcoin seems not.
Indeed, not 100% of altcoins follow the bitcoin chart, but most altcoin trends appear after a bullish trend in bitcoin that has begun to stabilize, then altcoins start their trend because the focus of the bitcoin market reaches stability. Indeed, for new altcoins it is not so influential because the demand for old coins is not as much as Ethereum.
There is still more demand for Binance than Ethereum at the moment. Even from the data I saw on coinmarketcap, BNB has 8x more amount than Ethereum transactions. If all Altcoins have an effect on the price of BItcoin (today $48,896.84), then Ethereum as an old coin for now is still on the stable list compared to BNB for today's prices.

Many altcoins isn't following market trend anymore like many of NFT tokens that are rising in the middle of really bad market trend and it's already altcoin season for NFT tokens that are game based which are rising so many times compared to the the previous year price because these coins can create hype for their own games making their tokens to have more and more demand that can actually causes the price to go high even though the market is considered in bearish.
So, whether there's prediction of an altcoin season or not a token can have bullish market if it can successfully make its token have more worth.

Reference

I don't really care what a anonymous Twitter analyst says because there are thousands of them out their and everyone just makes predictions that are serving their own Agenda. So if they are sitting on a bag of altcoins then of course they are predicting that an altcoin season is starting really soon. That being said i  am really happy with the way the market is behaving in the last few weeks. If bitcoin stays above 45k $ now for a while then i think that the altcoins will also start to make a significant move again. It all depends on the stability of the price of btc in my opinion.

all altcoins are dependent on BTC price, with current BTC price surge it seems some altcoins have thrived and we are starting over, can invest in quality altcoin projects and project The project during the BTC rally season will bring us all pretty good profits. I have been in this market for a long time and I have learned from experience that when the price of BTC drops, very few people want to take the risk to buy altcoins or new projects, but when BTC rises again so That's when investors flocked to altcoin investments.

The increase in bitcoin prices has a strong influence on the prices of other top altcoins, I see the current market situation showing its value is back including altcoins. other than that bitcoin trading volume in the last 7 days has reached 5% - 6% and there is no doubt that this month bitcoin can reach $50k and be followed by other top altcoins.

Reference

This means that altcoins can affect the value of Bitcoin prices, if you look at the content of the posts you share, this is not wrong in the general picture, even almost everyone says this, moreover an analyst has started talking on twitter, this greatly affects people's actions in decision making.

Today if we look at the market conditions, almost all altcoin prices are rising, even bitcoin is no exception. And vice versa, if altcoins go down then bitcoin will also experience these effects, all of this shows a very close level of influence and dependence on all of them.
