It appears that there are people behind dogecoin that are doing serious efforts to make this cryptocoin the no.1 coin in market capitalization. Elon Musk has mentioned something that the coin that is the most unlikely to be no.1, will be no.1. These were not the words he said, however. What Happened: After six years, the Dogecoin Foundation has been re-established with a renewed focus on supporting the Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) ecosystem, adding some high-profile names to its board of advisors.

According to a statement from the foundation, the board of advisors will include Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk’s legal and financial advisor Jared Birchall.

Birchall, a former senior vice president at Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), is also on the board of the Musk Foundation and manages Musk’s family office. The executive will represent Musk’s interests on the Dogecoin advisory board alongside Buterin, Dogecoin founder Billy Markus and core developer Max Keller.

To be honest, with these kinds of statements by Elon Musk, its kinda some troll especially using Dogecoin, and keep saying about these, and as far as I remember, there is a lot of humor before that there is a team that will work on Dogecoin and improves something on it.
If ever this is legit, I don't know what to happen as Dogecoin created at first just a meme coin and forked of Bitcoin.

I am so tired with this baseless hype around dogecoin. Moreover, it is already over. Now there are no huge fluctuations of neither Dogecoin nor Shiba Inu. Elon Musk also paused his constand tweets about this coin. I think that dogecoin was just the tool for Elon Musk of fast income and manipulating the market. I don’t see any reasons why Elon can be interested in Dogecoin as in good crypto technology.

Tesla and Ethereum are behind Dogecoin at the moment, oh shit this was a shock to me. whether I can interpret that doge is now a serious thing. maybe after they become part of the dogecoin foundation, these coins will have a more serious vision and mission later.

The only reason DOGE is still alive right now is because of Elon and the pump gang. Sure I am a little salty I tip most of mine away years ago when it was just a joke of a currency to have fun with but honestly I do not see an unlimited supply crypto doing anything good. This is actually opportunistic statement by the founding members of DOGE. Obviously, DOGE ecosystem has way way lot money than it had previous year and now they are actually getting serious about the meme coin and it's no more joke for the company or project as such. If big peeps like Vitalik, Hiatus are involved then this is something different and the roadmap for DOGE could change drastically. Idk, but Elons planning regarding funding of SpaceX project seems to be reasonable and can drive the market capitalisation for DOGE too wild. I think with the updated news like this, things gonna be amazing for the DOGE project and it's ecosystem. Though we hate ELON out of his behaviour, we should not let down doge as whole. That's gut feeling.

I dont understand why theres hype with this news. Advisors aren't devs and this news isn't important though unless Vitalik join the development team of Doge then it could have a worth otherwise its just a meme coin after all. I have no beef with doge but damn many people are going to be trapped by this hype. Musk must have not been serious saying that Doge will take BTC's place. It is far from reality.

Well, nobody should be stopping anyone or any foundation for that matter to make any coin the best as it should be even with the aim of making it the number one above Bitcoin and Ethereum. This foundation with Elon and Vitalik on board can certainly be attracting attention and can be the hub for anything related to Dogecoin. Having a foundation in charge of a cryptocurrency is a huge point of centralization. It undermines a lot of what crypto is supposed to represent. I am sure they will still refer to it as the people's coin but all this marketing is just smoke and mirrors. Dogecoin cannot be permissionless with gatekeepers like Elon and Vitalik. I can imagine Vitalik trying to move Doge away from being focused on payments and wanting to turn it into a world computer.

The traders will clearly pump on this news and dump on the buyers later, however, is this news only created by Elon as a plan to pump and dump dogecoin? It might not be, I reckon. There will be more development on his news through the foundation’s new roadmap once it is released.

I got it at $0.30 and if any chance Elon returns it won't stand a chance

@marine4u. If you want to speculate on a coin, I reckon there are more undervalued coins in the market that would give you better returns for your investment. Check those projects in the Solana ecosystem. However, for dogecoin, I would wait for the next bear market before planning on buying this. Dogecoin is still very much overvalued.
