Hello folks

Again I am very pleased to see the enthusiasm shown for this coin.  Who knows if or when another gold dogecoin will come around.  The last gold artwork of the dogecoin was CI's 2015 1 million doge I believe was 1/2 oz.  and the artwork was a masterpiece that belongs in a museum.

Gold funded with DOGE?  I’d buy two. (Let me know if you need prepayments to get this going) Lol.

Not sure if anyone noticed the spelling on Dogeball.  In the art you can see the small D placed inside the O as I wanted dodgeball spelled correctly but, visually wanted Dogeball.

You should swap the "B" "A" "LL" balls to the other side and swap with the "O" "G" "E" ones....  since it is "Doge Ball" and not "Ball Doge" if was are reading left to right.....

Interested in whatever this materializes into Cheesy Cheesy

Agree, I think that was a good suggestion by Minerjones too.
Replacement of letters.

Gold is a metal much denser than silver, hence coins with the same weight tend to be smaller. I always try, and when minting gold, I reduce the coin thickness in favour of a bigger diameter.

1M Doge coin was 1/2 Oz, with a diameter of 30mm if I am not mistaken.

1Oz 0.1 BTC coin was 35mm

1Oz Silver coins are usually 39-40mm

Comparison between Silver & Gold 1oz size

This is a complex design to accommodate in a small coin, maybe we should aim for 1.5 or even 2 Oz to make it 40mm

But that is double the gold, which is trading at 1817$, we would be facing a cost just in metal of 3600$ + Dies & Minting...

If this project goes forward it will be on a Pre-order basis. With a max of 10-15 as they have to be stored and shipped...

Please, those of you who showed interest chime in and see what you prefer and if you firmly commit to it. If we mint 5 coins so be it, I would be doing this because I like Doge and love Gold coins.

I will not PM you with other accounts, double check via mail or Twitter that you are dealing with the correct account. Be careful, I will not send you any links.

Hey CI!  Appreciate you being open to comments.  What's the widest width we would be looking at with 1.5 and 2 oz of gold?  Also, here's an alternative idea that might be able to accommodate max width pound for pound and perhaps a first of its kind if not mistaken- Palladium (approximate density of 12.0, gold is 19.3, platinum is 21.4, and silver is 10.5).  I've seen silver, gold, and platinum in the cryptosphere but really don't recall running across palladium; however, price is a bit higher than gold at close to $2500/oz but perhaps as much wouldn't be needed for 40mm width or if quantity needed was like 1.5-2 oz, then perhaps width could fall somewhere between 40- 50mm, which may be able to better accommodate the complex design.

Thanks for the suggestion!

With 1.5-2oz we could se 40-44mm coin.

I would love to mint in palladium but last time I asked the mint I work with was not offering as an option. Will ask again once they are back from vacation.

I would commit to either 1.5 or 2 as a preorder. Prefer 2oz

Edit: what was the Doge loaded value?

Firm commitment from me. Palladium would be amazing, but I'm in for any metal that ends up being the creators' choice

I am leaning towards the 38 mm in diameter and the thickness of about 2.9 mm which I believe is the thickness of the 1 oz gold american eagle.  The eagle is about 33 mm in diameter so our coins would end up just over 1 oz of gold.  I'm sure once CI has calculated all the costs from start to finish, we will be able to come up with the appropriate limited mintage.
