 The appropriate place to ask questions and make research is in Bitcointalk forum. I don't really know much about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies , so sometimes I try to use Google to get some information. But some of this informations in google they mislead novice , this articles poor articles are written by some persons who are trying to fish out some pay through their articles. Because of how do not trust all information in google I get tired of asking google questions. I don't want to be misinformed by shit articles.

I'd say if you can't find an answer here or on stackoveflow/stackexchange you could just ask it here anyway. A lot of questions newbies ask (I think) will be quite abstract so search engines might not be able to work out what you're after (if you get what I mean, you might Kot be able to find an answer to something because one doesn't exist - people ask questions related to ethereum about bitcoin for example and the two coins are quite structurally different).

There is a search button on the forum. Its right next to the help button. If you can't find it you can simply search information on google and add bitcointalk to it. For example "how to quote a sentence bitcointalk". There are threads about how to search effectively on the forum

I presume the challenge you are on about is therefore finding information that is not misleading or partially/totally wrong.

Bear in mind that this can happen here on Bitcointalk too, as we post with different degrees of knowledge, and this evolves over time (it could de-evolve too as a matter of fact). This means that, even within Bitcointalk, if something is important to you at a given moment in time, it’s best to contrast it through reading answers on multiple threads and/or asking anew (preferably, having gained some prior background on the matter at hand).

Unfortunately not all information you can find here is accurate nor we can say true since those things written is based on the personal experience of the writer and we should know that not all can take those things and apply it for yourself especially if we talk about investments or how can earn bitcoins. If you find any article related on it better make it as a guide but find some tactics which you suitable for you to get benefit since you are the one who can really help yourself so experience first all possible things even if its worse or not since from that you will be a good investor or trader in future.

If you want some info outside of this forum, some good info has been said on the Lex Friedman podcast, specifically the Vitalik Buterin podcast, Anthony Pompliano, Silvio Micali, and Robert Breedlove. No bullshit, no hyping, just serious talk about what technologically crypto brings to the table.

I don’t trust Google itself or its search for a long time. You think quickly, having created a topic about earnings today, you probably realized that you do not have the correct information that Google slipped you. Give it up completely, except for your monetization, Google, alas, is no longer interested in anything.
As far as information about bitcoins and cryptocurrencies is concerned, you are at the source, why run to a nearby river if the water is under your feet?

You can also use https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/ to learn about bitcoin but reference the source since these al are public source so users are just sharing the opinion which doesn't mean that its 100% right all the time.

If you still can't find then just create a thread and ask your query!

There are a lot of good information out there, but at the same time there are a lot of crappy information created just to monetize. A decently "skilled" researcher can easily determine which ones are the former and which ones are the latter.

With that said, nothing wrong with asking here per se. It just completely depends on the question. For example, a wallet recommendation thread might be justifiable if there hasn't been such a thread in the past few months, whereas a "what it Bitcoin" question can easily easily be researched inside and outside of Bitcointalk.

You're correct, but I think the difference here is that wrong information posted in Bitcointalk forum more often than not is corrected, if it's an OP who made an error in their post, subsequent users' replies would correct the falsities, if the mistake is from a reply, users who see it would also put the poster in the right way by correcting such mistakes, I think this is far much different and better than when a newbie all by themself is reading an article online which is wrong with no one to tell him/her that what is being read contains some erroneous information, such newbie would take that info hook, line and sinker, and carry it along till someone along the line prolly makes the necessary corrections.

This means that, even within Bitcointalk, if something is important to you at a given moment in time, it’s best to contrast it through reading answers on multiple threads and/or asking anew (preferably, having gained some prior background on the matter at hand).

This method would likewise work to adequately filter wrong from right information.

There is a lot of knowledge about bitcoin out there and you may have to filter it well so that the information you receive is not misleading. I read a lot here about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on the site I've coded and maybe you should give it a try too. The real challenge is how you try to properly understand all the available information and discuss it with the community.

Well expect it, OP. Same goes in some of youtubers claiming to be "crypto expert" with tons of ads in the video bar, just because they are getting a lot of watch hours and clicks.

Here in the forum, you could just use the search function and search about your particular question before thinking of making another thread asking that question.

I prefer reading around here rather than in Reddit. Many of the posts there are just <insert news headline> then in the content <insert link of the article>. It is kind of the same as mentioned in the OP except you have a comment section, but I highly doubt there would be an interesting conversation there unlike in here.

If you want to search in this forum, there are multiple ways, from in-forum search (normal or advanced) to the known search engines restricted to search only inside the forum ( <keywords> site:bitcointalk.org ) or use forum scrapers' search capabilities like https://ninjastic.space/search

In-forum search restricts the newbies, unfortunately.
Search engines may not have the forum properly indexed or may be missing the very new info.
Scrapers are quite an interesting choice to explore.

There is nothing to be confused about. You keep searching until you find your answer. If you don't find the latest one, create a topic here, If you find a topic and you don't understand it, you can find out by replaying that topic.

To find true information about anything, you don't have to depend on reading articles alone, crypto currencies are evolving and changing in their ways of operation as they grow, don't be surprised If I tell you that most of this articles are already outdated cus they center their discussion on bitcoin or crypto currencies of yesterday, meanwhile, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general have already evolved and alot changed.
There are several other ways to really learn more about bitcoin and one of the best ways is this forum, here, one can have a free open and general discussion about any topic he or she does not understand, and you have many more experienced member join the discussion and in the process, make you know every thing you need to know.

Just ask the question that you want to ask and when somebody answers you, still do your own research about it.

I don't know what kind of misleading information OP did experienced but I think the essence about it is explained by some articles. If you don't know how to fish out the truth then you might find yourself seeking the truth forever alone. Of course, article(s) is supposed to be like that in order for them to catch the right target.

Luckily, forums are created for just one reason, for discussion, a exchange of opinion, different point of views, ideas, and resolution. So I think OP should know where is the right place for every information.

You didn't specify what kind of questions you are trying to find an answer for because depending on the question type the search could be very different.

For example for basic topics such as "how does bitcoin or its mining work" you won't really find that many wrong articles on Google. And you can easily find valuable sources that explain all of it correctly and in a way that is easy to understand. Mastering Bitcoin, bitcoin wiki, bitcoin SE are some sources that come to mind.

But if you are seeking answers to questions such as "what shitcoin to buy to become rich" or "what shittoken is going to replace bitcoin" nobody can answer that no matter where you seek and obviously when you search the internet you will find a lot of misleading articles. Bitcointalk, Reddit, etc. are also not going to help since the content in this case is mostly the same nonsense of people trying to fool others into buying the shitcoins they bag hold.

You're right.

The writers have their ways to attract readers but if you really don't know how to point out that it's just bringing you something obvious then you'll fall for it.

As he experienced those misleading articles, at least he's now aware that he can now catch those articles that gives lack of information.
