First of all, what does it say in the blackmail email you got? Fake blackmail emails are a pretty common scam technique so my guess is that you got one of those. Just ignore that stuff and don't open any files (if there are any). Unfortunately, nothing much can be done with that address.

Not sure what you meant by signaling it, but that address has been reported multiple times on the following websites:

Just ignore it, it's just a typical scammer mail. I'd have a lot of those typical mail If I look at my mail spam category. You should be good to go if you feel you secured enough your devices and/or the mail didn't show you any substantial proof about that.

This is a scam, OP don't try to pay them anything, they're trying to guilt over something that's non-existent, they didn't see you watch porn if you did. SomeOrdinaryGamers made a video about this and he tried to track down where does it go to.

There was no attached file, simply the mail... unless the blackmailer can prove that he actually has information about you, if he can't, just ignore it. it is a very common scam(usually an empty threat) that targets paranoid people, someone who has someone who has incriminating secrets on their devices, or someone who doesn't know any better. anyway, when you say "signal" do you mean trace who it is belonged to?

Same old, same old : i have infected all your devices, you have been watching porn, you're a naughty boy, don't contact the police, blah blah blah... There was no attached file, simply the mail... The worst thing that can happen is that you run into some ransomware that encrypts all your files and you have to pay a fee for them to be unlocked. If that was the case, you would know about it. Your devices aren't infected, it's just scare tactics. Unless you downloaded something before you received the email that could have infected you, there is nothing to worry about. You can ask the scammer if he can recommend some good porn sites based on the content he knows you have watched so far anyway, when you say "signal" do you mean trace who it is belonged to? He probably meant that he wanted to report it to someone. As SFR10 mentioned earlier, that address has already been reported multiple times for fraudulent activities. That's all you can do about it.

You can probably report them to the authorities also, there must be a site that will track this address and hopefully post them for everyone to see and flag as a scam but in the end of all of this stuff that you're going to do, it's futile because the scammer will just change the address that he/she uses and move on.

I'm assuming that the criminals told you that they know your passwords or they have a nude photo of yours or probably telling you that they have access to your bank account etc. As for the address, there's a lot of traces in the internet that those address have been used for extortion already. https://www.cryptoblacklist.io/en/bitcoin/14hAMscYjeKe9WCfCHJXDgJ8SH1pg84GhX/

In 2021 many financial cybercriminals are likely to target Bitcoin more often than ever before, while other groups will turn to transit cryptocurrencies when demanding payment from victims, the very wise move we have to do is, we just ignore it, and never open any email, if it continues, we should just report it to the authorities..

blackmails in crypto are usually funny like that caught jacking on camera. those who paid will really make the blackmailer believed they did it infront of computer camera. its got t be something new this 2021 otherwise this blackmailer is outdated.
is there any new besides the porn?

There was no attached file, simply the mail... lol I have gotten similar emails as well. I was pwned on a few sites so that is of course how they got my email and my old password. It almost made me think they actually got me, and asked a buddy who's a Mr Robot type and he assured me there was nothing to worry about. Then I also remembered that I keep stickers over all of my cameras, so there is no way they could have caught me watching..."cartoons".

Going over the reports made on the Bitcoin Abuse Database, the email proforma being used has a couple of text versions, and they now seem to omit the part about displaying an old password of yours, whilst some claim to have more data on you than simple jerk off videos. A little over a year ago, the scammers were demanding 1K $ equivalent in bitcoin. Now the required amount has upped 50% to 1,5K $ ... Besides not downloading stuff from random links (which can indeed get you into trouble in multiple ways, RAT being one of them), one might as well preserve his intimacy just in case.

Found an address like that via Google search that has received couple of bad reports on the internet. There is even a post concerning its activities around the time you said you were blackmailed via your email https://www.myantispyware.com/2021/07/27/14hamscyjeke9wcfchjxdgj8sh1pg84ghx-bitcoin-email-scam/Guess you could report the address with proof of the blackmail to the right departments that deal with similar issues so that it could be properly tagged and the tag picked up by other services who could only freeze the amounts that are associated with the blackmails, and deny the address service until the owner clears itself. I prefer to consider the owner innocent until proven guilty else we could have people using this to have innocent people's money seized/frozen.

This is definitely a scam and all what he says is just assumptions depending on the probability of the users. If he Identified that the user is a male, then most likely he watches porn whatsoever. So just ignore it. Its not like he can kill you out of nowhere

One of the reasons why covering the webcam (if you own a laptop) is practiced by many :p There's also another one, about using old/ outdated/ archaic passwords.

I don't understand because you didn't give any further description of the letter you said was blackmail. but even if it's just a letter, I don't think you need to care about it because it's just normal because I've also received several emails with almost the same purpose. but I anticipate it by making security on my email and device, this is more helpful and I feel more secure when doing this and I suggest you try what I did, because scammers like this are still looking for prey for them to deceive and most importantly Don't be swayed and don't try to make transactions with them.
