I just want to add one thing, which I think is very important for those working online with their work hours not regulated. It's not about not working 24/7. To stay healthy you shouldn't work more than 9 hours per day, on average, and you should have at least one day off per week, but 2 would be better.

However, if you mean that making money on those is highly improbable, I totally agree with you. Most of the time, if you specialize on the sh*ttiest coins among the sh*tcoins, you are buying high, and then selling at lower price in hopes of redeeming at least a part of your investment.

The truth is that those winners if they knew how to hit it, it is difficult to see or have that ability to predict which currency or which NFT will explode ranking among the first.

Idk, maybe there are people who can distinguish between some false promises and genuine intentions to develop this or that project attracting large-scale investments, but I'm not one of them. No, it's not a crazy idea in my opinion. Online income for some people can be used as a main source of income and some are not and this really depend on what online work you are doing. I can give you an example that Youtuber, blogger, and online-shop are much more reliable to meet your need and lifestyle than the income you get if you become a government employee. You can still invest some of your income online as a reserve of money in the future, it's up to you what you choose. But it might be a crazy idea if the online jobs they do are not able to make end meet so they also have to have other job in the real world.

Some people I know (my friend) are blogger and youtuber with an average income of $10K-$20K per month. They are married and have children and I don't think they should get another job just to make end meet. So I hope you can think much more realistically than just making an opinion with your 1 friend's experience.
