I think you have missed all the previous discussions about how it's not feasible to create NFT board and your support won't make it happen unless @theymos find it necessary and it's not as we have discussed earlier also.There are relatively very few topics about them which can be concluded in altcoin section so what's the need?

Not necessary just as DeFi, master nood, staking, Memes,  etc boards weren't necessary. The hype will die down eventually when people start realizing what they're or were buying are mostly worthless or not worth as much as they're been auction and also the creators of those NFT are just reaping them off. If it's not associated with Bitcoin it's an alt not minding what they decide to call it so they all fit in the alternative board.

I think NFTs are here to stay, same as the metaverse. I agree we should have a child board under the alt sections for Metaverse/ nfts.

I actually think it would be a good idea. Put it below tokens and we can take all the crap NFT posts / discussions and dump them in that cesspool of a board. This way the rest of us don't have to deal with those people.

Although I do agree a lightning board would be more useful there would have to be some form of moderation and such to keep it organized and on topic. Just a board labeled NFT and let everything just fester there till the 'next big crypto thing' comes along. I mean we had the alt coin boom and bust the token boom and bust the defi boom and bust. Tokens are just the next wave of it.

I concur, totally agree with you, we sure need an NFT board here on bitcointalk, this will bring alot of improvements to the forum in terms of growth and flexibility, we are going to gain alot of new members here and also, this will open more room for a wider discussions on stuffs which relates to crypto currencies in general.
I definitely support this move and I really hope that the Admins or those in charge of creating new boards on this forum will look into this, like I've said before, this will help put bitcointalk in the limelight again and gain us more popularity and rank.

While I agree that NFTs and metaverse are here to stay (like ICOs are still here, but now in form of IDO/IGO/INO/whatever), question is whether altcoin board is so overrun with them that having separate board is needed.

I would say no, and you can see on the screenshot below why there is no need for that. So, from the top 35 topics in Tokens (Altcoins) board, only 6 (I may have missed one or two but doesn't change anything really) were about NFT based projects. Bare in mind that I even sorted them by the last post because situation would be even worse for NFTs if I let it to be sorted by default.

If situation was opposite then you would maybe have some argument that NFTs deserve their own board as they arw drowning everything else, but as we can see that is not happening as of yet, no matter the hype around it outside bitcointalk.

If the (Altcoin) part of the "Tokens" board would be removed from the name, I think it would be much more fitting for 90% of the things that are happening with smart contracts. Altcoin is a legacy term, but the difference between tokens and currencies is clearly accepted within the community (and on this forum).
