The recent announcement from OnlyFans that it would no longer allow adult content, and then that it would continue allowing adult content after all, shows, how some businesses can be vulnerable to having credit card payments taken away.  This problem would not happen for a site that collected payments using cryptocurrency! Would you be interested paying to use an OnlyFans style product that also sold adult NFTs, and where payments were with cryptocurrency?

Actually, that's exactly what went through my mind when this event happened. In fact, businesses and users really need cryptocurrencies to act more freely. However, even though a long way has been achieved, they still do not seem to be fully aware of it.

You have to be more specific about what vulnerabilities are in credit cards, because both have advantages and disadvantages in several ways. Companies like onlyfans are just third parties (middlemen), they will adjust to customer and content creators needs.

Based on some reviews, onlyfans only charge a subscription fee instead of paying per content. I guess that content is not included in NFT art because it can be created an infinite number of times and can be plagiarized by other models (in the sense that it doesn't contain the uniqueness of each product).

I think I might or might not become a paying member because I am not too often watching videos besides Youtube. Besides that, Youtube can give me what I need and the best is the video is free. If you want to watch adult content, you can visit and watch it without paying. If OnlyFans have the other interesting and can become like Youtube, I think that can give a chance to have a member who will subscribe and pay for some money.

I don't know OnlyFans business model, but I expect that one could save the CC info for later payments and then people paid for content without realizing, hence complained to banks.
Maybe also stolen CCs could have been involved.

Personally, I would not spend money on a platform that a lot of its creators provide similar content ^{[to an extent]} on few other platforms for free!
In regards to the NFT part, I just googled and checked a few at random and all of them had a very small social media following ^{[perhaps you should ditch that part]}.

But with such solution to the problem that you've seen on onlyfans is needed for those customers of it that are also in cryptocurrencies. You can take advantage of it as an alternative to that platform but having you accepting payment in crypto.

At the end of it, if they won't still accept crypto, there might another company that might emerge with the same products that accepts crypto.

Personally, I don't use OnlyFans, but I guess that such service with crypto payments would make sense and it would have future. Many people who come to OnlyFans for NSFW content probably would like to stay anonymous and it's not really possible with credit card payments.
But developping such service and making it popular wouldn't be easy, especially if OnlyFans will continue to allow adult content.
And I'm not really sure about NFT...

They need to discover first how useful the cryptocurrency is since if they learned how useful it is in their business then provably they will add this as option to their website but since cryptocurrency are not taking to much limelight maybe they will stick on the current one they have. But if they found a partner who are good at cryptocurrency maybe we can see some good changes towards this things.

The reason for banning the platform for sexual content is the refusal of banks to work with the platform, not credit card payments, and therefore they will lose a lot of money due to the nature of the site.
Even if they accept Bitcoin, they will not be able to survive because it is purely an economic reason as they will lose if it continues to operate in this way.
It is a problem of relying on one party to process payments and having one owner for all the shares.


I don't know how NFT tokens will work because the space in which to write on the blockchain is small and expensive, so making live broadcasts or long videos is impossible.

My only comment is,,, This is why it can never work in Asia, or rather,,, not if it is based in Asia. Already OnlyFans got in a lot of trouble from the conservatives and this is why they initially made heir announcement to ban adult content, imagine if they was to try this in Asia. Crypto and adult content have one thing in common: accessibility. The problem is far more complex.
They were risking this because of the recent scandals of underage models videos being shared through the platform, escorts services, complete illegal videos on demand delivered outside the platform but using it as payment gateway,  a lot of other shady stuff, even if they would avoid banks in the long run such service would be closed by the authorities so the problem lies elsewhere, not on the payment methods.

All adult websites that are having a monthly subscription model love CC and hate every other payment method, to the extent that they charge you a lot for the others. For them, the fact that you can buy with a click directly from their website, the fact that when you become a fan of a model for some it's a matter of pride to keep the subscription going to "support" her is the real gold mine, the fact that one would have to open his wallet every single time to make a payment might be a deterrent to keep spending.

I knew I had a screenshot of the differences between payments methods, seems like that at the end of the line for them it's more profitable to have cc than crypto, and in the case of LJ there is no recurring monthly subscription.

Yes I agree but I think Americans and Africans would argue with us and say they are the better experts. Especially in US where there are 10 times more laws than us and yet find a way to do everything.

But also we are talking about payments in crypto here and using regulated processors for businesses. I think if you want to do something like Onlyfans you need it to all be legit otherwise you then have to run international offshore operations and every government is after you.

Crypto ownership is not illegal in Asia. But business and porn together like what I said
