No, mate! I mean, newbies who want to contribute to the local board don't stay new for long, and bounty newbies who come to identify with us only post once in a while before returning to the bounty section. If you look back at previous months, you will notice that Jr members and Members have all risen to the level of Full member+. Those who want to positively contribute to the thread will grow alongside us.

Adding Newbies means that the table will be updated every week, which I believe is the primary reason I exempted them. We are not after numbers, we are only looking for active and positive members.

Alright mate, I'm not going to force my ideas on you because overall this is your thread with your own rules and policies. But if it was me then I would assume all users (especially local member) are in the list of contributing members on local board even though they only post 1-2 posts per month regardless of their rank. I wouldn't separate each user and their rank in a table, this would take a lot of time but I tend to list all users in a coded list.

This is great, I was not expecting to be the number one poster of the local thread as of last month because I saw others were like more serious than me but I really thank God for the first position. Igehhh you are really trying for this work. It is not easy to compile all these tables and analyse them one after the other. You are doing a nice job. I pray that boss theymos should approve your request of merit source and our request of creating the local board for separation for good and quality communication. 💪

Not having expectations is how we get to see a genuine and flawless contribution. Doing ot for the love of it or based on enthusiasm and not because you just want to be at the top spot. I congratulate you for your interest in the on goings in the hangout and issues of your nation.

I would also like to thank Igehhh yet again keeping the stats on locals as per how we are doing or handling our hangout. Your definitely doing the great job at it and I can say, we are getting motivated still.

I will also use the opportunity to remind those whom can make it happen that, its a purposeful threat we've got here. That one day, we might be given our own local board (Nigeria) other than the hangout we've got now. We appreciate what is been done already and even what is to come.

Agbe was probably referring to the ice I left in the cake for my yet-to-be-published merit source application. I've had it in my draft for a year now and may apply in January, inshallah.  

theymos I need source merit. I know this isn't the proper way to apply, but there's nothing wrong with giving it a shot when you're feeling brave. It's difficult to combat spam and not be able to merit a merit worthy post when I come across one. I'm not sure what qualities I need to have to become a merit source, but I pledge to continue distributing to quality posts as I have/am doing. I've been getting messages about post-reviews that I never asked for, and I've been doing my best, but my best isn't enough with a limited source. thank you very much.

Am very happy I still made the top 4. Last month I was third position. It is still an achievement for me to keep posting in the local and relating with my folks. It gives me a good feeling of being with my compatriots. But where is Gozie51, he did not even make the top 30 names or did Igehh skip his name unknowingly? That is not a good record for someone that came first a few months ago. Maybe Gozie51 will explain to us what happened.

I quickly compared the merits distribution stats from Jan 22- 0ct 22 vs Jan 22 - Oct22. I believe that the distribution rate has improved somewhat since the previous year. The main problem is that some board lack merit, either because merit source are inactive or because they do not have enough merit to distribute. I will apply when I have the courage to do so, by the way.

TOO LONG A STORY
It's feels great when a community comes together to share information, discuss issues, and support one another. Forums can be a great way for people to connect and learn from one another, and they can be especially useful in a local setting where people have similar interests and concerns. The Nigerian local arrived almost two years after we requested it. It was a difficult year sharing a single thread with an average of 50+ active posters, but we never gave up, we kept going, new members who were able to find the hidden thread came on board and the activities and numbers of users exploded, so I decided to give out my time to give a separate monthly charts activities for only Nigeria local board to remind theymos every month of our existence and growth on the local thread. When I first started, there were a few difficulties, but Rikafip and DdmrDdmr were extremely helpful. I appreciate you both.

To cut the Bollyhood short, we received a charismas PM from thyemos to Brainboss (spokesman) asking him to provide him with some details about Nigeria and how we want the local board, which we did and responded to his PM, and he created the Naija local board. We'd like to thank theymos and Cyrus for making this possible.


We would also like to express our gratitude to the individuals listed below (237) who have posted at least once on the then 'Nigeria local thread" since its created, and we would like to remind you that you are always welcome to post and interact with us. We appreciate you all.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to honor Becky666 (RIP), who was an active and important member in the quest to establish the Naija local board. We did it, bro!!! Rest on. Life after death is Beautiful.
