When I saw 140 posts, I first saw that on Rikafip local board thread few days ago and I quickly went through the month before last month statistics and I saw 140 posts again. Seeing 140 post again was surprising. It was a coincidence and I did not know I made up to that number of posts until I saw it again.

I received 32 merits. I did not report any of my posts to hugeblack. Probably some Nigerians did, but very few to the merit given me by hugeblack. I went through the merit given me by hugeblack on the 120 days merit page and on bpip.org for confirmation, it was 31 merits that hugeblack sent me last month, out of 32 received in total. Because of this, I really appreciate hugeblack which I know he is not a Nigerian and not biased.

When I see my name for here, I been dey surprise sha because for me to do one post a day self dey hard based on my job activities, but for me to see my name as the second most active poster for we local board with 78 post, guy I am extremely surprised about it.
For the merits side, I no dey stingy with am, if I get I dey send out because if I keep am to my self, is of no good or use to me and others, so I send am out to post them way I feel say dey more quality enough, as I done see my name for top 2 active Nigerian local board posters, maybe if I go fit hit the top one (1st  ) this month of October I go happy, if only my boss man way em name nah @Charles-Tim, nah OGA em be sha.

It goes to show the dedication to do better coming from every participant here and the fact that there's seriousness on the Naija side to actualize the use and adoption of BTC in the country.
I will do better to be ranked among the top pioneers from now onwards.

We dey preach bitcoin adoption but e dey hard us to tell our neighbor about forum for different reasons best known to us. The local board statistics is usually been posted in this thread by Igebotz every month and in the meta board where the activities and activeness of local boards are been posted.

Not only Nigeria (Naija) board, other local boards too do post their monthly overview of their local boards in the meta section of the forum in this thread.

It goes to show the dedication to do better coming from every participant here and the fact that there's seriousness on the Naija side to actualize the use and adoption of BTC in the country.

Naija local board is one of the most active local board in the forum right now, and we are having any new users that are coming here to mingle and relate with our fellow Nigerians which is a good development.

I hardly report posts on Nigeria local board, likely because we have only one board with no child board for now. The posts that I have reported, moderator always take action as fast as possible. I mean on this local board, just like on English board. The problem is not about moderation, unless you want newbies to all become like the experienced legendary members all at ones, but which is not possible.

We supposed to have off-topic and politics & society board by now, where some threads supposed to be, but we do not have those boards as of now, especially off-topic. A moderator that will delete the low quality posts from newbies because it is off-topic does not know his work. As for now, the posts can belong to the main board, because there is no appropriate board for it. Even if not called off-topic, it can be called other discussion.

Nobody is biassed because there is no merit source in the locale, and despite my best efforts, I am unable to merit most of your comments on my post. I believe that others are dealing with a same issue, and Hugblack is merely performing his role.

 It means nothing that the majority of my merit comes from hugeblack. I am aware that the local board does not have enough merits, which is the primary reason the two of us are applying.  Most of these problems will be resolved once I become a merit source. Thyemos stated that he is still not ready to include additional sources, but that he will likely do so in the future.

You make valid point there, because if we get child board wey we fit de create oda topics and discussions wey no de related to bitcoin, e go help solve dis matter. I remember when I first join di forum, na off topic and beginners and end I de go post, because dat time I no get any experience about bitcoin related matters, na gradually I come de learn and eventually enter bitcoin discussion matters. So some of our newbies wey wan start topic but dem no sabi anything wey concern bitcoin, na dis off topics dem go take start to de create topics. Eventually dem go de follow crypto matters wey experienced members de discuss, and gain experience for bitcoin discussions.

I surprise say inside all di plenty local boards na only three including Nigeria, wey no get child board. Naija, board de de very active, so I no understand why we never get sub boards. I hope say make we get di child boards soon, so di local board go de more organized, and we go de put posts for where dem suppose to belong.

The truth to be told, @satoPrincess, is that the number of threads that are not useful and not for the purpose of which this board was created is getting out of hand. You can’t just say that because bitcointalk is a free place, we should be talking about what we like or creating threads that are not meaningful. This board was created to ease our learning, not to bring political news and other things that aren't useful or helpful to us. If you look at this board now before you encounter a single thread that members are discussing about cryptocurrency, you will see many threads that are not meaningful. We are spamming the board, and most of it is from newbies. They should know that this is not how to get merit if they think they’re doing it for the sake of merit.

I wish we had a moderator here who would delete any single thread that was not helpful to newbies and other Naija guys here so that our board would be clean. This board cannot be clean with a bunch of unhelpful threads like this, and that’s why we have other members in this forum who are not active on the board. All this is because there are no meaningful discussions taking place the way they are supposed to.

Thank you very much for the permission. The board is something else right now. Whenever I visit this board this days there is nothing to discuss about apart from . And I don't know if because of the Hugeblack helping hand is making everyone to create di unqualified posts. The last time when we raised dis matter someone attacked me and did not fine solution to it, another person was saying he go pm dem and I don't know he do dat and the users decided to spam di board. We can't leave this board like this anymore. Let me see some elders in the board.

Do you honestly believe theymos will grant child boards after seeing the quantity of reported garbage from this board? He will never do it, and no amount of reporting will cure the problem. Because we lack a local moderator, reporting is less successful than it should be. As I previously stated, I would rather have a small number of high-quality posters on the local board than 100 low-quality posters. I'm not being strict with newbies, and most of the spammers aren't even newbies; I'm talking about Members, Jr members, Full members, and even Sr members in certain situations.

Hi all,
i was  nudged to the nigerian board by those meta statistics and decided to give it a look. To be honest i was surprised about not having any child boards at all here.

We do not have a big problem with spam in the german board, but quality can still be improved there as well. Therefore i made some statistics out of @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space for my local board wich adopted now for a few other local boards. You may want to have a look on my Spotlight to local quality posters.

To my mind, merits can be used as an alternative way of decentraliced order. If everybody who cares about quality only merits BTC-related content those statistics makes it easy to break through the wall of spam.

You know your local board best, but if i can help you with some statistics to establish a better structure while not having child-boards i would be glad to do so, just let me know.
