There is no usdt wallet specifically because usdt does not have its own blockchain.
Coinomi wallet supports PC version, it is like TrustWallet which is completely non-custodial and supports many altcoins as well. You can extract the private key/seed key and restore your wallet elsewhere.
Their official website: https://www.coinomi.com

I recommend reading their instructions and FAQ before starting. https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/home

Basically USDT token is available in three different blockchain which is erc20,TRC20 and OMNI so you have to choose wallet depends on which kind of USDT you are going to save. In general most of the USDT is in the ERC20 which means they are running on ethereum network for that MEW and Metamask are the best compared to the HD wallets for diversifying your ethereum and its tokens on a dedicated wallet.

^ Just an addition to the post above, you might not like Coinomi if you're a huge fan of open source wallet. It's true that it's non-custodial but it's still closed source.

What blockchain are you planning to use? If it's erc-20, I think MyCrypto Desktop is the best out there (Download) In case you're interested, the wallet's main developer (Taylor Monahan) was also the co-founder of MEW.

I have been using exodus to store USDT. This wallet was good enough consider you can also try to earn passive income on the wallet as it's fully integrated with compound and built-in exchange site. You can also build your portfolios on exodus as well as it let the users to build or maintain their own assets.

You can also personalize your wallet with a various themes that are available in the wallet. The security is so good.

I think any wallet eth network is fine that support erc20 token. Since usdt is also an erc20, you can store it to different app and exchanges too. The best one for me is metamask and imtoken for storing usdt. Ive been using those two eversince and so far no issue on security. Its actually depend on the usdt if they gonna freeze your asset for such reason anyway.

If that's an ERC20 USDT protocol then I'd suggest the usual myetherwallet. If that's TRC20 USDT then use something like Exodus or Atomic Wallet.
There are many wallets that Tether is being supported but check out first what protocol your USDT is in because you might send it to another protocol and you might get a problem doing that. Check all of the suggested wallets to you on where you should keep that.

Dont simply trust new wallets that can hold usdt. You can simply hodl USDT as ERC20 in your ETH address. But for the sake of accessibility, you can use TRUST wallet from Binance they are good and has a built in browser that allows you to trade via Defi.

Why desktop wallet? Stop using desktop wallets unless you aren't using the desktop for internet browsing, PC have many ways to get compromised even if you are been careful, hardware wallet and mobile wallets are far more safer

Why desktop wallet? Stop using desktop wallets unless you aren't using the desktop for internet browsing, PC have many ways to get compromised even if you are been careful,

PC is no exception, any device can be easily compromised if the owner is careless enough. The first version of Electrum only supports the desktop version, and I believe the developers have considered the vulnerability of the device.

hardware wallet and mobile wallets are far more safer
I think mobile devices lose almost 90% of their functionality if they don't have internet connection enabled. What about your previous statement about no internet browsing?
