Wallet problems relating to an obsolete cryptographic keyboard......

Hi,

I am struggling to access my wallet that I made around 2009-2012.  I have come to the conclusion that I used special characters in my username and or signature that have become obsolete, and taken offline.  I still have not yet found all my private data using a hex editor on raid encrypted drives to piece together portions of it since raid reconstruction does not work with files that have become obsolete(if you know a better way I would be ecstatic).  The private data which I was able to piece together doesn't work, ie restoring from the seed keys.  I am not the best with programming or coding anymore, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to access my precious mining rewards.  How do I fix it?  Any advice is welcome!! Thank You!

What wallet are we talking about here?

Because the earliest wallet with seed phrase that I know is Electrum, and AFAIK, the earliest version's seed will not work to the latest due to vulnerabilities and upgrades in versions 0.31 and 0.34.
And username? Could it be an online wallet?

Do you even know what wallet software you were using?

If not, then that is going to make things even more difficult than the needle in a needle stack that you're currently searching for

It is on electrum, with a custom plugin, by way of mercury mail.  My user name was encrypted with 2 or 3 special characters that have since become obsolete, and taken offline by ibm(disappearing file syndrome).  I think I may have used the same username as my miner's name, which I think would have caused problems with my private data since the files wouldn't hash out to the same value.  The files were upgraded at least version 2.8, possibly 4.1. I have the pre plugin file to electrum but my password doesn't work, I'm assuming it's from the keyboard problem.  Was there an option to disable seed restore?

I have to be honest and admit that this is the first time I hear that certain special characters have been removed. Do you know exactly which characters you used? Check out this source, maybe you can find what you are looking for there. I also found this. Just copy and paste the needed characters if you see them.

Thanks, I think it was a little newer than that.  I found thison ibm.  Hopefully I can figure it out.

I have to admit, despite carefully reading everything you have written so far, I find you making increasingly less and less sense.
How are IBM HSMs relevant to this? And what do you mean by "plugin"?

It's because of that sentence that I suggested the above sources showing various characters. When he said that the characters became obsolete, I thought they can no longer be found on most standard keyboards. OP might be talking about something else entirely.

By using the ALT code sequence, any character that has ever existed on the keyboard can be typed, including special characters.

Alternatively, you can just open Character Map on Windows and type those characters that aren't available on the keyword. Most other operating systems (including Linux) have their own utility for copying arbitrary Unicode characters.

I am wondering if it affects my private to public data relationship since the file hashes are not the same, does it affect the whole block?  Does it invalidate my private data when checked against the public data since there may be characters missing?
