Everything had a drop, they are recovering these days and it is looking good. I wouldn't lose hope on ethereum this quickly, it is still doing fine. It is getting closer to 4k as well if you check the price and that means 5k is not a pipe dream neither. Do not consider "breaking the ATH" is similar in ETH as it is in btc or some other coins, it is already quite close to ATH as it is, and a bit of a decent run would mean it would be over ATH very easily, not saying 5k, just saying ATH which is lower.

This is why I highly suggest that you should not give up this quickly, just because all of crypto had a fall doesn't mean that it will keep on falling and it is already recovering. This is the proof that we are doing fine and I hope that it will keep on making more profit in the near future as well. Would it be 5k this month? I am not sure, but it surely does look like it is doing fine so far in the past few days, if it keeps this up then it is totally possible.

by looking at the developments this month, ethereum seems to be still in the consolidation area, so because there is no news to support I think until the end of this month eth has not been able to reach $5K, but don't worry for investors who believe in eth, of course later that target will be achieved , although we don't know when it happened

The price prediction was made when ethereum was definitely in a high momentum so we can expect that all the answers are very positive and optimistic. But when the price suddenly drops, well the predictions have become varied too. So maybe we'll just wait for the month end and come up with a perfect speculation and let's see how far eth  price can go.

One thing i am certain is that ethereum will greatly be affected once bitcoin crashes. However, if ethereum alone can outgrow bitcoin, ethereum will remain to be bullish at the end of this month. We just don't know on what price will it settle.

At the early of this month we are about the pemistic with crypto market price because it experienced a quite big drops from bitcoin and affacted for most altcoins also. and we don't set much expectation on price growth especially on ETH.
After 10%+ crash, i'm just planned to hold ETH for a long time and not buying more until i saw this news recently.

The cup and handle pattern is usually painted before a significants price growth, and also ETH price was incrasing recently. This made me trust ETH price will going moon soon and buy more right now.

Right! Ethereum's high gas fee issue remains unresolved after the London upgrade in early August. ETH will hit 5k$ but the exact time is unknown. The ethereum community is looking forward to ETH2.0 launching in January 2022. That time will be the best for ETH to hit 5k$. I guess so.

Not only Eth but the entire crypto market depends on BTC price. As its already said on this thread, crypto market is speculative and we cant say with certainty whether Eth will 5k by end of this month or 2k.
As per my observation, Eth goes up to 4k and then fall back (as part of its price correction). You are right that if we see BTC stable on 60k then there are chances that ETH may hit 5k.

Anything is possible, as a matter of fact cryptocurrencies have not yet realized their full price potential which means price of Ethereum for me has to actually go up as high as $20k obvious not just this year but it will happen.  For now price seems to be consolidating which makes it difficult to be bullish for the time being.
