So, what’s XTblock’s story?

We started out with the goal to solve the issues that have plagued blockchain for years – namely poor scalability, high latency and low transaction speeds. Through intensive R&D, we developed our revolutionary time-sharding technology, which is what allows us to radically solve these challenges in a compelling and practical way.

What’s more, we discovered with further research that it made our network what we call ‘hyper-capable’. This means that it could not only address these massive blockchain-related challenges and help blockchain go mainstream, but could also powerfully enable decentralised AI computing and Bot computing! So blockchain really is just the tip of the iceberg.

In future posts, we will be talking about a whole range of capabilities, use cases and applications, many of which will be brand new to the market. If you love tech and understand the massive transformative potential of a technology like this, you’re in for a treat!

Thanks to non-stop innovation, ever-improving technology, and decentralisation, cryptocurrency provides tremendous opportunities.

In one of his reports, Mitch Steves, a Royal Bank of Canada analyst, noted that financial market decentralisation is here to stay. The technology is what enables us to make transactions quicker, and in a more secure and transparent way.

In a nutshell, how will XTblock address the problems facing blockchain today?

It's no secret that blockchain technology has tremendous potential. But let's face it: it has a plethora of issues that make using it that much more complicated, and often impractical. For example, limited scalability leads to overall slow transaction speeds and higher fees.

Do you recall August 2020, for example, when the Ethereum network suffered issues that led to stratospheric fees and glacial transaction speeds? This is just not sustainable in the long term.

XTblock seeks to deliver solutions that will effectively tackle the problems that continue to plague the blockchain industry – namely limited scalability, high latency and low transaction speeds. Our unique time sharding architecture, as well as several other enhancements have been designed and developed to solve these problems. Importantly, XTblock's hyper-capable network will also be able to enable two critical and high-potential realms of technology: Decentralised Artificial Intelligence and Bot computing, which opens up a whole new universe of possibilities.

Where can XTblock be applied? What are some of its use cases?

Being a hyper-capable network, XTblock aims to deliver not only a high-performance blockchain but also the ability to decentralise artificial intelligence and bot computing.

What's next for our decentralised live-streaming solution?

We have spoken about how one of the applications for XTblock lies in creating a decentralised live-streaming video platform, but what makes this solution different?

Blockchain uses a large infrastructure outlay including high-performance computers (CPU/ GPU/ RAM/ Storage/ Network) which are also good for algebraic calculations and fit for computing requirements for AI; however, existing blockchain implementations only use blockchain nodes and networks for the simple purpose of block verification.

XTblock’s core premise is that, with system amendments, the same architecture, miners and infrastructure can be used for distributed problem solving (DPS), like AI computing services and Bot computing services.

But it doesn’t stop there – our network will have a much wider range of applications. What this means is that, beyond a high performance blockchain network, AI computing and bot computing, a powerfully decentralised live-streaming service is also possible, among many other very diverse use cases.

Why do we believe the future belongs to XTblock?

There are many reasons, such as powerfully enabling decentralised AI and decentralised bot computing with our hyper-capable network. But let’s tackle the matter of supercharging blockchain with our network first.

According to PwC, blockchain technology has the potential to boost global gross domestic product (GDP) by US$1.76 trillion over the next decade. However, in order for the blockchain  to be widespread, it is important to deal with some growing pains first. So, what are we talking about?

Problems with scaling — most of the modern blockchain platforms are incapable of handling a high-volume of transactions as the rate of adoption continues to soar.

Cost of deployment and application development can be prohibitive and vary greatly, based on individual users’ and enterprises’ requirements. 

While a few blockchain platforms like IBM’s which uses the Hyperledger framework, and Ethereum, are working hard to address these issues, XTblock is already set to address these challenges.
