Bitcoin may gain legitimacy in the country to recover from the economic crisis after the country was occupied by the Taliban. Moreover, the economic source of the Taliban must come from another border country. So for their economic prosperity, the government of the country is more focused on legalizing bitcoin. You can know all the details through the video link below.
I don’t think they can replace the Afghanistan currency with Bitcoin. But I know for sure that the people can decide to start making use of Bitcoin. So it’s up to them to make that decision for themselves, As for changing the currency, I don’t really know if that is going to be possible, so I wouldn’t tell you it is. They can decide to declare Bitcoin a legal tender just like El Salvador.

But I do have a question: will making Bitcoin a currency in Afghanistan change their situation? I don’t think the answer to that question is yes. We all know how the situation is in that country, so Bitcoin will be the last thing on their mind. Countries like that what they need is a serious help and I really hope they get that help that they need. That is why war is a very bad thing. I’m more of a this should make Bitcoin in currency, not everyone will have the money to invest in it.

I tried to read the news, my personal opinion is specifically for citizens who use crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, that's the response of citizens who want to protect their assets.

The next question, what is the Taliban's policy towards the presence of Bitcoin in Afghanistan, if they have a positive attitude towards crypto it can be a good step forward for Afghans and vice versa must also think about the bad side, News of the taliban's attitude with Bitcoin must exist, that's important.
Only really good for protecting your assets as a citizen but implementing or integrating it for changing up countries main currency is surely not possible even though there might be some positive sentiments
but doesn't mean that it would really be that just fine.

I cant really see the possibility for a country currency to be replaced with Bitcoin, maybe there might be some citizens whom do consider it on that manner but those are just for personal reasons.

Switching up from fiat to Bitcoin is something cant really be done in full scale or would be done so easily even with that El Salvador situation then we can really mirror out
the hardship.

Nope, it can't. That region of the world has always been primitive with technology, so there won't be any sort of mass adoption. With China announcing partnership with the Taliban, Afghan currency will still survive for local Afghans to use, of course it's not a currency that would be recognized as valuable on the global stage. Afghanistan's economy is going to be propped up by China's intervention.

I think the potential would be great, surely people in a destabilized environment would be better off using Bitcoin, but again, it won't replace the currency.

But what I know about Afghanistan, they are a poor and backward country that does not have many conditions to care about what we are talking about, whether it is just a very small number of people. They are still facing many problems about the current conflict, I feel the loss of control over their sovereignty over their own land, but the news I read recently is very sad when people are suffering many problems after war, the solution now has nothing to do with the economy but instead is about when they will feel happy on their own land.
If they have electricity, they can mine Bitcoin. They have to buy ASICs and build mining farms. In that nation, it is risky to operate mining farms because you don't know what will happen with the society, politics and everything there.

Some poor nations in Latin America can have mining activities because their nations are more stable and less risky like Afghanistan.

Even the nation and coming government from Taliban will have to be judged by other nations. I don't think Taliban can not make Bitcoin as legal tender in Afghanistan and big nations, IMF will not accept it.
Maybe so mate Smiley ,
Your assumptions and what you think are not what I think, simply what they need and what solution are we thinking for them?
Just like the point of view on substance is not the same, many people need it to build trust with others, and try to earn as much trust as possible.
And there are also people who just see it simply as a tool for exchange and always believe that even without money, they will still be happy.
I have researched about the history of religion, it is really a very sensitive issue and there is no general concept that can be imposed.

Aha big no, how can they will access the blockchain if they dont have infrastructure in it, and how about their human resources, is they are able to use technology while rocket up on their head and sleeping with the gun ?

It is doesnt make sense that Afghanistan will adopt Bitcoin as their currency.

No way, bitcoin is going to fill in a big hole trying to replace the functions of the currency in Afghanistan, remember that there's still some economics in the country and I don't think that bitcoin would be enough to fill in the gaps.

Seeing the current situation of Afghanistan these days, I don't think they would legalize Bitcoin that easily. The Taliban want to control everything and Bitcoin as a digital and decentralized currency wouldn't be a thing for them. There might be a few people that would use Bitcoin but it wouldn't replace their currency.

Do you really think the Taliban will allow a western technology that has to run on very modern technology, to replace their Fiat currency? These guys kill women that wants to go to school... ffs!

Just remember one thing... these guys wants to control every aspect of citizens life in that country and they have zero control over Crypto currencies. They also know that they can only rule over uneducated people, because their power comes from people who cannot and who are not allowed to think for themselves.

Bitcoin cannot save those people... not even the USA could with all of their wealth and support.  Roll Eyes

It is foolish to expect that these guys would take a favorable stance towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, when they have banned even music, dance and sports. When Islamic state conquered vast swathes of Iraq and Syria, they tried to replace fiat currency (Syrian Pound/Iraqi Dinar) with gold, silver and copper coins, since the ISIS regarded fiat currency as un-Islamic. I am not sure whether Taliban would try to the same or not. From what I can say, there is not much difference between the two groups.

Afghanistan, not established GOVT yet and there are no advanced technologies in-country, infrastructure will be established in coming years after some years you can say Afghanistan can adopt Bitcoin but not now and in this video this is one personal overview and not an international report.

Why would they replace their own currency with something that they can't even regulate? It doesn't make sense at all. Besides, the Taliban might have no idea about cryptocurrency at all. I think the only chance they could consider BTC as their main currency is when hyper-inflation happens just like in Venezuela wherein they used other countries currency as their legal tender

well that depends only on the country if they will adapt bitcoin as their main currency, because bitcoin as of now is not accepted as a main currency to trade services and products with, but if they would like bitcoin then that is their business but i think that they should not adapt it because is very volatile and is prone to changing its value in a short span of time.

After Afghanistan was occupied by the Taliban, the domestic economy has not yet recovered, and the people and the government have different religions. It is not suitable for Afghanistan to change the policies or regulations of the country. This is for Afghanistan to stabilize the mood of the domestic people and prevent rebellion! Bitcoin is not suitable to appear in the public eye at this time, and it is not suitable to become legal tender!

If Afghanistan legalizes bitcoin then this needs a process, especially for now the transfer of government has been controlled by the Taliban then they are very thin in mastering the science of technology so it is very difficult to apply bitcoin as a legitimate means of payment, then in this case they must maximize the internet network so that all access can run smoothly and later all the targets that want to be applied can be achieved, and for this country I am less convinced by the application of bitcoin as their currency because there are many other problems that they have to solve.

Now it is Afghanistan ? looks like there are so many countries that has been indicating their interest in bitcoin nowadays, is this really the effect of pandemic or it is just each countries find out the advantage of crypto in being currency together with fiat.
At present, it is impossible to achieve. It takes a long time to prepare for the popularization of bitcoin knowledge, tutorials and infrastructure. The most important thing is whether his leaders have this determination.
lol , El Salvador did it so fast in their country asking nothing to the people but only to the congress to pass the law that is the same reason why now there are many protest happening in their government .

For now, they need to develop their own currency first. They cannot access the Internet without a cell phone. Supposedly the work using Bitcoin will not be able to be completely popularized. All not except when you have relative or trusted friend abroad who can buy you Bitcoin. it's really hard and I think they will have a hard time following el salvador's steps.

I would definitely agree on this one. And considering what Kakmakr have said, the Taliban wants to have full authority over the country of Afghanistan, and with crypto currencies, the group have much control towards the financial transactions of citizens and the circulation of the currency in general.

They would not do it officially but crypto has been a defacto currency for the terror regime and associated with off records trade deals in petro or narco. Whatever they may call, the largest asset of Taliban is opium and its trade is not legal. They'll need to route it through sketchy partners like Iran and Pakistan to reach the international waters. Iran is already selling it's oil for crypto. This way taliban would make bitcoin/crypto their defacto official currency.
