You're a bit confused about some concepts here... Electrum does have a functionality that's called "receive", but this is merely an internal electrum function. If you gave somebody an address generated by this receive function, it'll be valid forever, so even if the request expires, it doesn't really matter (since those requests are merely for you internal accounting purposes, but the address generated by this function actually belongs to your wallet, so it never expires).
What worries me more is that you say the company funded this address, but you haven't received anything.
Could you look at the "history" tab instead? Maybe they didn't send the exact amount you expected?
If you look at the "history" tab, and you see an incoming amount that's roughly what you expected, and roughly around the time you expected it, it's probably because you converted to FIAT or the sender had some extra fees he/she subtracted from the amount.
