Yes again it all depends on what coins are invested because it can be said that meme coins are very risky,
many meme coin projects end in scam and of course we need to be careful,

In terms of getting profit, these meme coins can be considered. The only problem is others are treating these coins are worthy coins to hold. It's good on short-term trades but I don't consider them good at long-term trades or too much holding.

If someone wants to invest in these meme coins, don't treat them the same way you are holding some top coins. It's good to speculate for good but these meme coins can't be pumped without pure hype. That's the risky part of investing on that type of coins.

Dogecoin had already fell down below rank 10 coins but Shiba Inu is staying high (though drops already from the ATH)
i believe that Meme coin year had ended , and now there are new project that increasing and one of those are NFT and Metaverse .

I think meme coin is not good for long term investment, because it is not safe. but we can buy it and if the pump happens we have to get out of the market immediately. this is because memecoin is easier to manipulate, so it is very risky if we are greedy in taking profits, if we don't immediately take profits, panic sells can occur, because prices can dump at any time

I totally support this though Dogecoin shows us about this long term for Meme coin, and yes many of us made its way to richer trusting dogecoin for long term.

Doge and Shiba are two very different memecoins so in terms of durability it is clear that Dogecoin is stronger than Shiba Inu and you should also know that Dogecoin is not increasing due to Hype while Shiba Inu is experiencing an increase in price due to Hype, so choose wisely so you don't get trapped.

I don't have any meme coins and I'm not investing just for fun.  Lol, Meme coin is actually just an overblown, hyped up trend.  Not a with pumps and who don't think of the empty 1000x.  Even though, lately the Doge or Shiba kings are going in the direction of development that is more accepting but still not useful.  At least Travala accepts Shiba as part of a plan to get their attention and brand polish.
I think the internal force of the meme is completely difficult to scale the utilities on a larger scale.

I think it's still worth investing in meme coins, the facts on the market show that the transaction volume is still large on meme coins, of course people's choices are different and many don't like it and think that meme coins are just a collection of numbers without real adoption like NFT, I think as long as meme coins are still profitable then i will invest in meme coin(s).

You could still hedge out of those movements and wont really be going for long term because not all coins would be good for long term and would be just good for short term being and as long it does have volume and liquidity then it is really worth to test on but of course the risk would be always there so be careful on what you are dealing with.
When it comes to investment then its a choice to make and as long you are aware on what you are doing then you'll be fine.
