Why are you investing in Altcoins?

Are the people who invest heavily in altcoin those that missed out on bitcoin maybe because of doubt or some skepticism at the time bitcoin was new and not as valued as today? Or Are the big investors in altcoin today more of those who were earlier investors in bitcoin and gained heavily from it, so are looking to gain heavily from another newcomer?

Your thoughts please? and why are you investing in Altcoins?

I'm into altcoins because Bitcoin is not enough and cryptomarket offers a lot of opportunities so better grab is as much as you can or else you wont be more productive and profitable.

Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency, yes it started this revolution but he can't do everything this is why Bitcoin still need the altcoins to offer services that where Bitcoin is limited. We have to diversify, never put your money in one investment only that's too risky.

I think there is higher probability of huge profit by investing in altcoins if we could able to pick a suitable altcoin on right time for example lets take SOL those long term holders who bought SOL couple of years ago they all have earned huge profit with it although choosing a suitable altcoin for investment requires deep research which is absolutely necessary to do.

Yeah. That's also a good point, I missed the Bitcoin train. Now If I want to make an investment in Bitcoin I need a good amount of money. So why did I choose Altcoin? We all know, the altcoin market is very volatile and it can give 100% pump within sort time also can be 0 any time. It's very risky but the reward is also good. Most of the time I like to buy legit coins.  For trading most of the time I like to take a position in altcoins. It gives me a good risk-reward. Also for the long-term investment, I am still buying altcoin. Right now holding Matic, Cardano, Grt, NWC, TRON, and a few Ethereum. If Bitcoin hit $100k, that altcoin will give me 5x or more than I strongly believe.

I am not a heavy altcoin investor but I do have lots of different ones. It's not that I missed the boat, it's just too expensive for me on this stage.
Before ($300 per BTC) I can't also afford it due to financial needs for my newly made family and others. If it's still $300 now then I will surely purchase it but because it's not, I want to just risk it with altcoins and try to make profits. Those profits will then be converted for Bitcoin as I want to keep more as the future of it still shines bright.
I think we do have different reason why we didn't ride the boat and most of it will be in financial side.

but not many people believe in a new project in development which of course takes a long time. when the market is in bad shape, of course, choosing a top market asset will be more profitable than investing in a new altcoin that is not necessarily a project that will survive in 1-2 years in the future.

The big investors want to make a big profit from altcoins besides from bitcoin, so they believe that investing in the right altcoin can make more profit. Many people invest in altcoin because the price is not too high compared to invest in bitcoin so they can buy many amounts of potential altcoins and hold them and sell them when the price rise higher. That makes them a big profit in bitcoin and if they can sell the bitcoin from the altcoin profit, they will make another big profit.

I invested both BTC and altcoins, but I usually put a huge amount in Bitcoin. Maybe some just have a different market spread like investing more on altcoins but for sure they choose those projects that are worth enough. It wasn't mean that they miss the chance on Bitcoin but as we all know that some altcoins have a huge spike than Bitcoin which could give more profit in a shorter time.

But if we think for a long-term investment(as I did), we took BTC as the top priority.

In fact, I don't make investments into altcoins just because I missed an opportunity about Bitcoin. I can invest into Bitcoin or an altcoin any time considering the future. Because I like to HODL my coins for a long time period. I don't make many short-term investments. And I have a few altcoins that I believe in their future now. If I don't like a project, then I invest nothing into it. This is why I prefer and don't prefer altcoins.

I personally invest in altcoins because there are far greater opportunities for profit than investing in bitcoins which are already too expensive. but keep in mind whatever altcoin you choose never forget bitcoin for the main investment because it is clear that bitcoin is a security for your altcoin assets

I choose to invest in Altcoins because they are more affordable, at a cheaper price I can have a large amount. basically altcoins were created as an alternative to bitcoin, so for me Altcoins also provide great benefits even greater than Bitcoin, with price variations that I can choose according to the research I did for short-term profits.

For that many investors decide to invest in Altcoins but at some point they will switch to bitcoin for other profits, we will not always hold altcoins, especially new altcoins because it does not guarantee the price will last in the long term, only bitcoin and other top altcoins will able to prove it.

Because I don't have the capital right now to invest in Bitcoin. Investing in altcoins is one of the choices that must be made to gradually accumulate capital in order to be able to invest in Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is more enjoyable because it is full of surprises and Bitcoin is a definite asset.

Altcoins investment for me is a way of diversification and that is very good. Bitcoin investment is a huge type investment so if we do that, we can also throw in some money in altcoins and when bitcoin is rising our investment too rise. Another point is that investing in altcoins can also help incase bitcoin drops, sometimes altcoins start to bull. It is basically for diversifying for future profit.

in fact people started to be inspired by the bitcoin story that was worth less than $100 and then it started to be worth over $5000 and then ETH came along who did the same thing, with that people started looking for altcoins to make profits of 10 or 20X and it was at a time when some ICOs were really able to give these high profits and many altcoins were also already giving high profits and the market created this mentality in some people to enter into projects with the object of having high profits

people have both:

1 - has bitcoin for hodl

2 - have altcoins and new projects

  hardly people just keep altcoins

I think many people prefer to invest in altcoins because they want bigger profits and so do I, that is the reason I currently prefer to invest in altcoins because a very significant percentage of price movement makes it possible to get bigger profits than investing in bitcoin .

Simply to say that Altcoin give good Returns no matter how much you invest.Altcoin investing gives us good opportunity to get more profit. I think both coin are same but i choose altcoin right now for investment. Altcoin price so cheap so you can make invest with low amount to get good profit in future.

This is a tough decision on which altcoin to invest. This will need more research before investing in an altcoin and gain profit. It would be good to receive advice from those who have invested already share their experience. I haven't invested on altcoins yet but I did try investing in bitcoin and eth.

I cannot personally refer to myself as an altcoin investor, for quite a lot of reasons I choose almost solely Bitcoin, but imo, there are numerous reasons why people go for altcoins just other than mere preference or choice, the thing is ROI with Bitcoin is more often than not a long term thing, and many of this investors do not really have that much patience, thus they choose to invest in altcoins, many of which are pump and dump coins that can pump quite high at some period and give investors who are lucky to sell at that point quite a lot of profit. Another reason why people invest in altcoins is just to diversify, they do not think it wise to channel all of their funds to just Bitcoin, thus they leave out a particular amount for altcoin investments.

Altcoin is alternate coin you could buy for those that missed bitcoin!  This was initial idea behind altcoin. It however later become a tool for money grab,  scam and what have you. I invest some percentage of my portfolio in altcoin that want to make a difference or already have! It is also likely that you can flip altcoin for huge profit if you get in early on some of these altcoin!

The main reason is the risk/reward ratio, the R:R ratio is huge on some altcoin markets. In BTC markets, making 20% per month is cool but in altcoin markets prices can boom up to 2000x in a week. This kind of the market performance can be the reason why investors prefer to invest in altcoins rather than investing in top altcoins on CMC listing.

with me, simply because I feel it gives better returns, doesn't mean I have to spend much on it because I still hold bitcoins. It's just that for every BTC bull phase that begins, switching my portfolio between btc/altcoin/stable coin is what I feel is necessary to achieve good returns.

What you are doing is very enough to benefit you gradually, because I also implemented such a step where I put the focus on every altcoin that was already popular then took advantage of keeping stablecoins as my target in that regard.
