The environment of a person could greatly affect who he will become, I mean lets take an example a child grows up in an environment where both his/her parents are dealing in a gambling activities then this kind of scenario will be one of the curiosity of a child while he grows. Gambling may not be illegal but I think gambling is generally bad. Not all bad is illegal just as not all legal is good. And I think that gambling gives out more bad than good. It is fun if it is done responsibly and moderately. But it is not uncommon that gambling is done beyond moderately. Gambling is specifically designed that a gambler is to have fun, lose, chase the loss, spends more money, get addicted to it, and go bankrupt.

This is not a thing to be shown to a child. When the child's day comes, I will be very glad to educate him about gambling and its implications. But age matters.

If they're open minded person, you can open a conversation with them discuss about pro and cons about gambling. Playing transparent gambling in front of our family especially our children is a big mistake for me because I always hide my gambling activities online or offline from my family because my family means a lot and I don't want my kids to follow in my footsteps.

Sad story. Not he ruined his own life and now his daughter's life is also ruined. It is like having a alcohol addict dad and you became an alcohol too after watching him so many times drinking. *People are weak af creatures. They deserve anything bad that happened to them I guess. It depends, but yes, that mostly happen because of the peer pressure around you, what you see is what you'll become. Another reason is revenge, or simple logic reasoning, that what's wrong of trying the same thing if her parents are doing it for so long, kind of mindset like.
