Hello guyz, I wasn't online to this great forum due to my health issues for the past two and a half years, And when I returned back yesterday I realized plenty of changes in crypto world. I had many altcoins and when I checked thr prices for the last three years in CMC I realized I missed a huge chance of making money, forget to mention most cons I had are dead now.
My question is what is a defi project. One of my crypto friend was telling me to buy tokens with slippage, what is a slippage and what are some good defi or slippage projects ongoing to invest,

DeFi project simply is anything that traditional finance do, but its on the blockchain, example Saving and Lending activity, Trading activity (Decentralized Exchange), Deposit (Staking), and many else.
Slippage is a percentage of difference between the price expected over the price executed, so its not a projects.
I dont really know what hype on the DeFi right now, but two of DeFi im following right now is OMM Finance from ICX blockchain and Birb from BSC blockhain.

Slippage happens when traders have to settle for a different price than what they initially requested due to a movement in price between the time the order (say for Bitcoin) enters the market and the execution of a trade.

There are lots of good defi in the market started from the compound, AAve and many more. We are also entering the new trend called play to earn and metaverse.

Becareful with those projects. I never heard them all and they may be another garbage defi projects. there are lots of fake defi tokens created by the scammer as well.

No, slippage its not kind of fee cut, its difference between the prediction price on that time and the actual price on the time transaction executed.

High market cap tokens can be purchased under 1% to 3% slippage. But new Defi or NFT tokens with small marketcap needs to be with high slippage especially if the price has a huge price spread. Personally I am using 10% to 11% if the price is so bullish and I want to enter the market immediately.

I don't know what you are talking about when you say slippage but yield farming is huge right now. You can deposit your coins in a platform like Ref Finance and earn $REF governance token rewards. You can get an APY of over 200%, which is much better than staking rewards and beats most traders.

Those who are that much interested in Decentralized Finance projects, it's a fact that they're really giving decent profits.
But, I'd like to give you a warning that there's also some projects there that lack of tight security and that makes them prone in hacking and penetration from hackers that will also take your balance if it's there while the hacking happens.

DeFi is a broad subject and you need time and effort to study it this is the new trend now and it is now a niche and since this is already a niche you should educate and enlighten yourself and you can learn all about DeFi by learning it from the experts, not from investors, there is a free ebook that you can avail fro free by just log in daily

There are just decentralised applications and platforms. Talking about slippage, it means what the difference in price might be when you buy. While the transaction is going on, the price can change and, as a result, if you have a big slippage on this exchange (you can fix it in settings), you will buy for a bigger price. A big slippage is typical for new and really risky projects, but I don’t think that it is the high time for them now.
