Thread creation way to support the forum.

So I created this thread to explain how you can support the bitcointalk forum by creating threads, bitcointalk just like every other organization need finances to run its activities and one way to support the forum raise funds is through thread creation because each time you create a constructive discussion thread the forum generate revenue from the banners that are placed under the first post of every page.

So won’t you rather create a thread and make income for the forum as a way of your support to the growth of the forum?

Know This, there is no where the forum has asked anyone to generate revenue for it, by making more thread, regardless if it's quality or it isn't, their are Numbers of threads on the forum daily, and amongst this number their are spam threads there in, so I don't think the forum has insufficient threads for revenue, but rather the forum should have lesser spam threads all for the sake of generating revenue.

I guess and as far i know the Forum has already a lot of finances !
Creating only threads and topics for banners are showing is a stupid idea and advice.
If you create a thread then doing this because of you want help , say your opinion or what ever, but not only for the Banners.
This would be end up in spamming fast if everybody would be doing that.

The forum is more concerned about the quality of the content posted here daily and not the revenue. This is the first time am hearing about users supporting the forum by writing threads. The forum has many means of generating revenue but not to the detriment of the well-being of the forum, as low-quality threads are harmful to the forum.

Does the forum really needs more posts to support the forum activities? I don't think so cause if you really mean just more posts then you could be wrong. Some posts are just non sense which are not needed on the forum while some are unnecessary. Maybe you meant more quality posts cause quality posts defined the may reason for the growth of this forum. Quality have the power of pass information to people to increase there knowledge.

Quality is more necessary than quantity. One valuable, informative post/ thread is has more value, contribution than 100 shit-/ spam- posts/ topics.

IIRC, The revenue on banner is fixed since the promoter rent that space with fixed amount of money for a certain period of through auction on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5357672.msg57833329#msg57833329(If you are pertaining to profit per view/click on banner), I don't know if there's a affliate link connected and where the revenue go but no matter how many thread we create, The income on that banner is fixed and no extra profit base on the auction description of theymos. The only benefits of creating many constructive discussion was attracting more advertiser to rent the space for there ads.

This forum has never before make it mandatory for people to create thread, this forum works good and active, it remain the best bitcoin forum with active thread creation.

If bitcointalk members are not creating thread at all, that would have been a different thing, but since I know this forum, there has been active new threads, some are good and remain on this forum while some are spam or plagiarism which are later deleted. This forum has never in the past lack new threads.

This can bring to the mind of new members to spam more all because they are thinking they are creating new threads while the more they are creating threads within short time will be making them to spam. One or two quality topics created by someone is better than many spam and plagiarised topics created.

Actually, the ad is displayed under the first post of every single page within a thread, so a single thread that drives interest and views is going to print way more ads than having many threads that lack interest (and therefore lack views).
Take the Wall Observer thread for example: a single thread with currently 29.509 pages and 590.164 posts is going to beat the hell out of 29.509 created threads with no interest.

Creating thread per se does not help. Creating or posting in interesting threads, that drive views is.

Exactly creating more and more threads that have no utility or purpose to serve on the forum is just waste of time and efforts so it's better not to indulge in such things but get yourself busy in constructive posting like replying in technical or some good discussion thread which is promoting some healthy conversation on the forum that will benefit you as member of the forum and on the opposite side forum will have less users with spam posting and other wasteful stuff.For example if there are tons of

- plagiarism related threads
- forum rules
- how to earn on the forum

These types of threads are already in abundance and you can just search for them and have information if required but if you are also making same threads it will never be categorised as constructive thread or quality post so it's better to avoid them.

I guess  what the forum needs now are quality posts and more serious active members who are readily willing to offer help to newbies or whoever in need at the right time.
Creating threads just in the sole aim to generate revenue for the forum is not a bad idea, but I think there are enough threads now.

I believe you missed the way of ads displayed here. They are not from any advertising network. Rather, they are from forum ad auction. IIRCc altcointalk has a feature of reserving the 2nd post of a thread for displaying google ads. For YOUR info, it's not altcoin, nor it’s using any google ads or any other sort of ads network. This make no sense at all.
We everyone is here for learning something, sharing our views on cryptocurrency. If you don't have to share anything, why would you even bother to create a thread? That's spamming for sure.
Once again, please don't miss the point that YOU are in bitcointalk & not in any other shitcoin forum.

There is no need to create unnecessary thread on the pertext of generating revenue for the forum. The forum has multiple ways to generate revenue. If you have a good topic to discuss then think about creating a new thread. Remember spamming and plagiarized content will always result in permanent ban. Hence, avoid such things if you want to stay here.

Sometimes you help forum more by not making new useless threads. There is no lack of activity on Bitcointalk and there is no need to make new threads in order to "support forum". Actually, often such threads just reduce quality of forum. And after all, forum sells ad slots in auctions and number of clicks and impressions isn't that big factor.
Your advice reminds proposals to click on ad banners in order to support owner of websites. No, it doesn't helps and makes more damage than good.

If you read the previous replies, you will know this is incorrect.
Firstly, the forum already has a natural range of traffic it offers and that's what it sells to projects who wish to advertise; Posting more topics does not increase the pay as the transaction has already occurred at this time, you are only trying to give more publicity to the project advertised.

This attempt to give more publicity also does not work out technically, as the threads need to be relevant and discussion worthy to actually look traffic, creating threads for the sole sake of helping the forum will lead to numeroylow value ones, which can actually reduce traffic.
