Which one kills laptops more faster? Mining or gaming? I read online that gaming on laptops have more demand on mobile GPU than mining and if you mine on the laptop only the laptop will live more longer than intense gaming, anyone have experience with laptop gaming and mining here?

I have worked in a PC repair service and many gaming laptops came there broken because of gaming.I have not seen any broken laptop through mining as of yet,however the theory is not true,the fact that I have seen a lot of gaming laptops come to the repair center was the fact that they didn't clean regularly the fans inside of the laptop and also didn't care much about the temperature at the GPU leaving it as auto when in fact it needs fine tune to lower the temps.High temps is the main reason why these gaming laptops fail in the first place,miner are a bit more careful regarding temps of their GPU-s so it is normal that a laptop lives a bit longer when mining rather than gaming.

I think it matters what type of gaming laptop. There are some gaming laptops that are heavy duty and you can game or mine all day and you won't get issues. They got big heatpipes and fans that can easily disicipate most of the heat that is created by the CPU and GPU.

There are however those tiny gaming laptops and those are not good. I think people get away with gaming with them because they game for a short while. They got small screens and not comfortable to game with them all day. So its fine for that. However if you mine with it constantely the entire laptop will be hot and eventually ill wear out all the components or swell the battery.

Like I said before, don't mine with a laptop, ever!

it depends a lot on the cpu and gpu that a laptop mounts, however, it will never be able to reach the performance of a desktop pc or a rig in mining, so for a laptop i would absolutely exclude mining which significantly shortens its life and i would use it only for the gaming

a dell laptop
an omen laptop

the dell was a decent deal and was okay at doing it. about 33mh and 105 watts 24/7/ 40 days. I returned it as I finally got a pc.

Which laptop will last longer depends only on the user. If the laptop is from a professional, then he will buy the necessary cooling pad for the laptop and set up the mining correctly. If the laptop is used by a beginner, then he is more likely to break it.
If the gamer is nervous, and knocks on the table or laptop and spills liquid on the keyboard, then the chances are very small.

I am not a miner but i do play games but interms of life span . I do say that neutral and it depends but mostly laptop that's was used for gaming will win. I said neutral because nowadays miners are tweaking the setting of the gpu and cpu load although it is still 24/7 but not in full load. On the other hand gaming is on its full load depends on the game but it is not 24/7. So if the laptop runs 24/7 without a cooling then eventually it will be going to die earlier

If the temperatures of the processor and video card are acceptable, then there should be no problems.
The first problem is usually related to the cooling system, because it is not designed for constant loads.
Expensive gaming laptops are designed for such loads, but it is not profitable to mine on them, because they are very expensive.
The video card always works at 100% load, I do not know how to start mining so that the load is less.
For some miners, it is possible to do this, but this greatly affects the hash rate of the video card.

There are some cheap going laptops that gets hot when gaming for an hour or two, those type of laptops are bad for mining, the higher end laptops are good choice for mining, they have better cooling system and heatpipes but the sad part is they are too costly

Mining works better on laptops compare to gaming, some gamers don't even know what downclocking means, this can help the laptop to generate less heat due to less intense workload, miners always want to use less power for mining and this helps in all ways, mining on laptops is more healthier than gaming on laptops 24hrs a day

Mining constantly 24/7, gaming only few times a day, if gaming took 12hrs per day, that consider killing faster than mining, on gaming like maxout setting on game most demanding, it should take power twice as mining, and the laptop reach around 80+gpu, 87+cpu temp, while mining eth only 60c and consume 60% from gaming, the only things hit really hard both gaming/mining on vram gpu usage
Vram/gddr have limited tbw lifespan, no document explain how much is it, even your smartphone rom/internal memory, ssd , ram, and many other memory's has tbw lifespan

Because the GPU is not inside a PCB where you can adjust the voltages, the GPU is just added to a socket on the laptop motherboard and it has less components so the undervolting option might not be there. One reason why they don't include this option is because if they did, many gamers would probably overvolt the GPU and cause the laptop to overheat.

An external GPU which is what we all use is different, its much larger and there are more space for components, there is also a huge amount of space to put alot of copper/aluminum heatsinks to discipate the heat as fast as possible, they are also very heavy which is something laptops can't be. Hence why its not ideal to mine with a laptop, whether its a gaming laptop or not.

The frequency of the core of the video card can be set through any utility for the video card.
If the core frequency decreases, then the hash rate also decreases.
Usually, it is not the core frequency that is lowered, but the power consumption of the GPU chip.
But it all depends on the mining algorithm, because they load the computer hardware in different ways.

I paid 850 I am an elite member 45 day return policy I used it for 40 days.

I felt it ran far too hot, but it did work the whole time { 40 days }

if you laptop have good cooling and you make laptop cool that you can mine with laptop.
