It seems that things related to smart chains or smart contract  will still be popular in the future . and NFT is currently quite hype from many investment circles. it seems that things that are investment and profitable will definitely become a trend in crypto. as previously . staking. farming. and now NFT games investment .

Yeah, we do see daily that millions are being spent for NFTs but I suspect how many are within accounts. I mean people may try to manipulate by self-buying so that real millionaires and naive investors may change their mind. Even this is an old practice, when it is happening in big numbers lead me to worry on this. Because, I do not want to see fellow crypto investors to be the last buyer for any of fake hyped NFT. Still, it must be individual's responsibility to stay safer with their crypto stash.

After seeing lots of hack and hijack related crypto space, I just started think like NFT also might be one the core reason why hackers and criminals get back to their illegal activities (like a tree with fruits faces lots of stone throws).

We can't really tell which will be the next big thing as there are many ideas currently in this space, and all it takes is the right time for it gain attention, and once the attention is there, every other thing is set for that trend.
Nevertheless, NFT is not as hot as it was before, or will I say a lot of other blockchains hardly experienced or partook massively in NFT, only few can be said to have experienced it good enough and that is ADA and Solana.
However, in my own opinion, the next hype might be on what a particular ecosystem is offering, and if a careful look is taken on this space, one can see the level of seriousness going on with many blockchain networks now, Algo, Fantom, Polygon, Avax and list goes on. Many projects are being developed on these blockchains and one can only be patient to see what will happen next.
Lastly, I also think Defi is not yet done, moreover it is the most lasting trend we have seen so far, thus many blockchain platforms can bank on it again to offer their own unique services.

In my view, NFTs is only the beginning, their opportunity can literally be limitless. At the end of the day, people are all about exclusivity, ownership and non-fungibility.

You are right. I have also the feeling that nft hype and trends will not end here but also will expand more in the future. I noticed lately, that some platform are doing nft section of their product which they dont have before, it just show that they wanna join the league of nfts. Even bigger platform or known icos or institutions are adapting to it. Coca cola company had one, and some bigger ones too. Im excited that nft will continue to bloom to the next few years.

Too young to die I guess, the hype might stay for a while as many NFT project still growing and if those project was able to compete, then you might see their new ATH. I invest on some NFTs and I know its really worth it because the hype is still there and some are indeed a good one. NFT art might not that worth it if you’re a small time investor, but if are willing to spend that much on an art, then be ready for the risk.

According to some analytics the next successful thing will be multifunctional projects. I follow some bloggers and now they start investing in them. Actually, it is really convenient, when you don't need to use different platforms, you can just come to one and do everything on it. To have a general idea of what I am talking about, jsut take a look at BOT for example. It has exchange, wallet, marketplace, messenger and even NFT-game.

i don't think there will be any new big technology that will drive crypto again apart from these two current trends. DEFI and NFT. I THINK THEY ARE NOT HYPE. they are proper methods and ways not only to promote but to adopt crypto. cryptocurrency adoption is still on going. i think Defi and NFT will go along way in this current trends. the huge amount of funds that Defi introduced into crypto remains the main reason it will last for long.

To be honest, I haven't understood the cause of NFT fire so far.

The fire caused by the uniqueness of NFT. Others may have different opinion than you. When you're saying that's ugly but people may see that from the different view like it has only a few NFT. You can see cryptopunk or something else. Some people were judging this kind of NFT has no value but people who bought it has different reason.

I looked at those NFTs. They were so ugly that I had to 1eth. I began to doubt my aesthetics.

NFT market was a free market, when you're seeing an ugly picture that valued at 1 ethereum and that's the price created by the owner of such NFT. You can't put the standard value on it as the creator of NFT itself will be offering what rate that will be suitable for his own NFT to be bought by others. I think that you must understand about this reason.

My response is a little late as we are already in the middle of the next hype and this time it is around play-to-earn games that are running on the blockchain. Axies infinities is definitely the leading project their and everyone that has started playing this game a few months ago can now earn a nice amount of money every month with playing a game, which is crazy. At the moment there are launching new play-to-earn games every day and of course 95% of them suck and just want to ride the hype-wave, but i hope that some of those games are actually doing well and will be still here and played in a few years. I invested a small amount of money into Wanaka Farm and i hope it turns out well.

Be very careful, it seems more and more obvious to me that a great deal of those ‘sales’ are manufactured and were not legitimate and most likely it was done to deceive investors or it is just a way to launder money.

Think about it, a scammer could create a NFT, buy it himself for all the money he has, establishing a base price for his NFT, then he does this over and over again and now it seems as if all is art is selling for high prices, then finally the previous buyers of their works, which was no one else but himself, put their works for sale and now they earn a lot of money, I am sure this is happening all over the market and as such I would not spend any time thinking about it or about what is next big scam that is coming to the market.

I've had a hunch what the next big thing will be: Metaverse.
Nobody really knows what's behind it yet, but since Facebook renamed itself and Zuckerberg presented his idea of Metaverse, there are more and more crypto projects advertising it. So, hype is slowly incoming!
