What are your tricks and tips? Thanks in advance for sharing them.

For mobile phones, once my day is done and all msgs being reverted back, I keep it away and as well in past few months have already deleted some social media platforms as realized it was more a time waste for me rather than being productive. This helps me save sometime now and as well always urge to keep checking phone is now dwindling.

This is really a problem of everyone specially we parents because our children also has this attitude of bringing Mobile/gadgets even in bed with them so sometimes they even take long time before sleeping (Even me lol)

so what we did?

I make a House Rules that No Gadget will be allowed inside each room , ALL OF US. every gadget must stay in living room but i put a speaker extension for my Phone and install inside our room so in case there is emergency we can hear it, But only my wife will be answering everything and not me nor my children this helps a lot and we have been having this for more than a year now.

To avoid electronic devices before going to bed, I just leave them on my table and go to bed without trying to look at the devices. A silent mode in mobile phones can help you avoid that after leaving it on your table so you will not feel disturbed by the sound of the chat or any update from the phone. I hope that helps you.

I am not really avoiding those, even though I know seeing blue light in the dark will affect our eyes and also will keep us awake.But in practical life it is almost impossible because our day starts and ends with smartphone notification checking.

I probably do things that completely take away attention from the devices. But I would plug my ear with ear plug first in order to be able to focus my attention in my thoughts and avoid distractions. I don't know about others, but I can sometimes go into trance and see things in my mind as if I'm watching videos. Distraction messes that up. Those are some of the things that can entertain and keep me busy whenever I'm not using my phone. Infact it's way better, clearer and enjoyable than using my phones and other electronics. I sleep off when I get tired.
* I keep jotters close by incase I recieve something important I don't want to forget.

Just put it away from you. That's the simple trick that I do. When I'm already in bed, I just throw it far from me where it's usually being put.

Because if it's reachable, you'll still pick it up even if you're about to sleep.

It's quite a deficult task, but when ever I want to avoid electronic before going to bed I quit all electrical devices 20 to 30 minutes before I go to bed, especially when cellphone is involve, it's more deficult task, but with the aid of reading a book, it's then easier to deal with before bedtime.

that's why I always read books to avoid that bad habit in myself. those who always hold a smartphone before going to bed will have difficulty sleeping and make sleep quality worse.
You made me remember of myself that before going to bed, I used to read too. And it is effective to make me asleep so fast.

I don't finish usually the book that I read and with just a few paragraphs, I'm already asleep. The traditional way before going to bed is good to avoid holding gadgets on bed.

I have scheduled to take out my gadget and alarm on the same hour everynight and I strictly follow it until it's part of the system, the first week is the hardest and it took me a month before I get used to it until it become automatic, one hour before the alarm ring my body and attention drip to relax mode so whenever the alarm sets in all my works and what I do are all finish.

I think there are no tricks at all but discipline .
and also now? i only bring Laptop  in bedroom and leaving my Mobile and Ipad in drawer outside the room so at least laptop can be only use for short time then will be turn off after a while.
