I wonder what's the situation in altcoin board now, are those thread bumping groups still active?
Unfortunately, reporting outside altcoin section is not as successful.

To be honest its not that bad , mostly there are topics created where they should be in the token section.
For sure some spam is still there but easy to see , and every reported post is a good thing and not a waste of time.

TRue, malware posts and similar stuff that is against forum rules will still be deleted no matter how old they are.

Let's say that I had a very good share of locked threads in relation to the number of reports, certainly at least 90% - although not so long ago there was a case where a user asked for an explanation as to why his topic was locked, and according to everything that others have written, it seems that regardless of the fact that the mods in most cases agree with the report, it is not something that is considered "good work" by many forum users.

Lately, that's why I don't touch such spam megathreads - people just love spam, and hate those who prevent it.

Yeah it looks like that its the lowest number of reports for a long time , but i guess maybe it has something to do with summer and good weather.
As not much Users online and that includes also the Spammer and all shady posts i think thats the reason for the low reports.
But there are still every day some posts and threads that worth to report it.

I don't believe that summer is the reason, especially considering the temperatures that in the part of Europe where I live were until recently around 40 degrees Celsius, it was better to be inside than outside. Of course, it is not like that everywhere, but this will certainly be a record warm year in a large part of the world.

As for spammers, plagiarists and AI garbage, I don't think there is a lack of it - but I think that the people who fight against them have become a bit demotivated, considering that in most cases you need to report a lot of posts for such members to get a permanent ban.

Some time-series plots that can give you overview and what's happening recent months. Since mid of 2023, forum report numbers drop a lot but after that it seems to be quite stable at low range. The numbers for a last period are lower than previous months but we need some more months to confirm it is a new lower area or only one low month.

I know that it is the smallest number of reports compared to the time in last and past years.
I guess that its maybe a little bit from all , that playes all together and on top of that you can be right that a few Users a bit demotivated who was fighting against Spammers and all

My focus is mostly on AI and plagiarists, and there shouldn't be too much mercy for such, because most of them know very well what they are doing and deserve nothing but a permanent ban. As far as I can see, you are active in finding those who post dangerous links on the forum, and I am sure that they do not deserve a second chance (of course, unless it is proven that the account was hacked).

• Unhandled report percent tends to increase a little bit.
• Good and bad report percents drop but unhandled report percent increase as shown clearly in box plots.

My focus is mostly on AI and plagiarists, and there shouldn't be too much mercy for such, because most of them know very well what they are doing and deserve nothing but a permanent ban. As far as I can see, you are active in finding those who post dangerous links on the forum, and I am sure that they do not deserve a second chance (of course, unless it is proven that the account was hacked).

I fully agree on that , that this kind of Users should be getting a permanent ban when they doing this kind of stuff intentionally.
Whenever they are plagiarists , malware and dangerous links posting there is no other way to get them banned.
In my cases what i am reporting most or all Account was or got hacked.
But i understand what you mean and i am fully on your side.

Thanks for the Update and Info hilariousandco , looks like we are a little better since the last Month , fingers crossed that in the coming Month it grows more up.
Maybe the cold Month and the ending of the Summertime will get some more Users back to the Forum and motivated to report posts that needed it.

If nothing else, the number of reports is increasing from month to month, and is the reason for this that more members started reporting bad posts, or did those who do it otherwise slightly increase their number of reports?
