Hi Bitcointalk community,

2 months ago I bought a GPU it was a RTX 3070 (not LHR) and I was thinking to continue buying more RTX 3070 (not LHR). Now I browse on Ebay.ca and was surprised to realized that there's no more RTX 3070 (not LHR), they are all LHR.

I would like to hear from you, what Nvidia GPUs are you now buying on the market?
In term of efficiency (hashrate per watt) I came to the conclusion that the RTX 3070 was the best to mine ETH.

Thank you in advance.

nothing, best thing to do now is sell the remaining coins high and wait the bear market to come and then decide on what to do.

I agree with you however don't you think with the way things ended up that we might be in an 2013 repeat scenario? Where we peaked in April and traded sideways and bottomed in July and then started to pump in early Oct and blow off top in Nov? Seems that even the months are perfectly lining up.

I think if we were to crash and enter bear market we would of been somewhere in the $20's by now, however the $28K support seems to have held. I think most of the retail market is in the NFTs and DeFI projects and when the whales start to sell where do you think they will go? Sell for fiat which has crazy inflation or sell into ETH or BTC.

Just my 2 cents.

in 2013 btc peaked in november at 1280 usd at gox and then with the mtgox hack and bankruptcy in 2013 december btc crashed to 600 usd and then stayed there for a while and then kept crashed to 100 usd at btc-e january 2015, i remember this day well then btc only got as high as november 2013 1280 usd in april 2017 and then all the way to 20k in january 2018 and then 3.5k in january 2019 and then only got as high as 20k again in november 2020.

Right now, my prediction still stand at 79k, in 2013 btc stopped going up because of mtgox, now we dont have that but we have greedy more than anything, I guess reality check will make investors fear crypto, many dont know what is that yet. So I still think this is going up a little more before going down hard and trust me, will be no money to buy btc at 28k after this next crash, they bought at 28k because they knew btc would go back up now they are sure bear market is closer so they will pump this once more then crash it hard.

Well if binance was hacked then would be on par to what happened to mtgox in december 2013. I myself withdrew most of my money from binance, made a mistake in 2013 with mtgox and left lot of money in there, to this day I still have not got reimbursed, process still on. I guess they will crash this market very soon, we mtgox users have a lot of btc to receive and I think it might be this or next year and that is 700k btc. So prior to that whales will crash this market hard.

It's more expensive to control the price now than in 2013

He is talking about RTX A4000 not 4000.
LHR cards start to be easily available. I just bought 3060V2 for 400$, currently making 34Mh/s / 110w, it think you can get the wattage to 80-90w.

Just switch to AMD graphic cards instead because they are easier to find and you don't have to worry about any limiter on them, the only Nvidia GPUs that don't have LHR versions are 3090 and RTX20** series

you should delete your misinformation. while it is true about the rtx 4000 it does not apply to

the rtx a4000 as it is a very good card.

 I have 7 doing 57 mh at 125 watts

we ordered 18 in total and now have 13 delivered

here are 7 mining as I type

I looked at prices but aren't RX 6800/XT/6900XT better in the end?

The A4000 are going for the same price as those but the AMD cards does 60-66mH/s at similar wattage.

The A4000 seems priced the same as 6900XT but if you can find 6800/6800XT you can go cheaper.

Even considering that it takes almost 1.5-2 years to get ROI nominal. Excluding electricity and taxes on gains making it even longer.

Unless you are getting your A4000 at considerable discounts? Not retail pricing.

Right now as I said previously and as per this thread title, all gpus are already lhr, hardly can find a non lhr and that is like 1 in thousands, meaning only amd gpus and rtx 3090 are still unlocked, amd gpus are hard to find and they cost an arm and a leg, a simple search showed me that rtx a4000 are widely available for as much as 1200 usd, and I cant find an amd 6800 for that price, plus it seems those a4000 use little less power than the 6800 but then again the hashrate is a little lower too, the a4000 has 448 GB/sec default 56mhs on eth, the 6800 has 512 GB/sec default  64 mhs on eth.

What is interesting and I have seeing is that, the gpu market is not about gaming anymore, has been about eth hashrate, meaning even a rx 580 has been selling for 800 usd and compared to even a 3060 in gaming loses hard but a 3060 lhr is not much more expensive than a rx 580. I guess when the crypto market crashes hard we will go back to gaming performance dictating the price.

my a4000 were 1167 with tax and shipping  and a 1.5%  discount . so about 1152

a 6800xt is a bit more.

I also like the 1 slot aspect of them.

Of course they all sold out at 1167 and are now 1200 plus tax to 1399 plus tax.

Not worth 1300-1500 with the tax.

It depends on your budget how much you are willing to spend,it is simple for AMD Big Navi like 6800,6800 Xt and 6900 Xt I would pay 900,1200 and 1350 USD respectively as a max price right now.For the LHR cards I would buy them if I find them cheaper like the V2 versions which are limited in all algorithms but yet they can still do decent Mhsh in Ethereum and other algorithms and beside that they are being unlocked little by little, right now they are at 68% max unlocked but if we go to near 100% after some time then it is a very good investment, for example getting the RTX 3060 ti V2 LHR for 400 EUR or even 500 EUR is a great deal right now.

The biggest problem with LHR mining software is that github will ban the all the LHR breaking malware accounts. The NVIDIA Corporation  is a powerful organization with alot of money..

Yeah, seem you found them before others noticed their performance.

1300-1500 is current pricing for these now.
I like the 1-slot solution as well with only a 6-pin power.

You got yourself a great deal there for the solution at hand.
And I don't think prices drop on those cards too much on the second hand market either unless you use them for far too long.
So you could off-hand them even in a Crypto market crash if electricity becomes too much for a decent price while the gaming cards would price-drop considerably.

Yeah, seem you found them before others noticed their performance.

1300-1500 is current pricing for these now.

NVIDIA quadro was never used for mining because performance was not there, this new quadro series nvidia really upped the memory bandwidth plus gamng gpus are very well sought and unrealistic at those prices, so yeah people go and look for alternatives, however the rtx a4000 still not a good deal, in the end only nvidia and manufactures will be earning money here, lucky will be the ones that buy that quadro gpu and reach roi.

The best time to sell the gpus will be in the first moment the market starts crashing again, that is the time crypto will not recover anymore, the hype and fomo is over, now is only manipulation at hand, manipulators will pump this last time and then gameover.
