Investing and finance in general should be in the syllabus; not necessarily crypto, just like how we don't necessarily need the stock market to be a focus, but just a subset. Proper investing and finance is a lot more than investing in cryptocurrencies alone.
It would be as a whole and wont really be focusing alone with crypto and that would be more sensible or would really be that relevant and its impossible that it would be some sort of to be part of the curriculum.

Yes, there might be some schools or universities that did really make out such change but to think that global adoption isnt really just good as whole. Syllabus is something can only be applied on investment or finance
as a whole and not just really focusing on a single part.

I know on what OP had been impressing about which is understandable but we wont really be going into that sort of.

I think instead of Crypto been in the curriculum blockchain technology as a whole should be included in students curriculum. Which would house everything the blockchain can be used to initiate different trust transactions in which crypto currency would be inclusive. But I'm aware some tertiary institution offers it as a course but it should also be introduced in high school in preparation for college
It should not be insisted maybe a adding it in as sub subject or topic wherein investments will tackle the options of what investment one can have depending on their risk appetite on what they can use and what problems they can face. I have teach others to do trading but they did not really like or feel doing it but really enjoy investing in forex or golds and land properties. It’s a matter of what will fit our personality and as a student they should know all the options they can do.

I also think that it should be added as a topic under a course, for example in economics and such, for in can be integrated on some modules throughout a course. I think that regarding to its addition to the curriculum, it must be first passed to the respective educational institutions and assessed if it is really necessary to be taught, and each university that will offer it will be required to be accredited as well.

Hello. All. Actually first I come in this space (crypto) in 2017 where btc was $1.8 K to $19K. Right Now Btc is approx $35K.This was really a very interesting exp. for me. Today, i was though t Crypto should be in the Syllabus of students all over the world because there are lots of opportunities in this pace for Young Generations.

What your Opinion for the same?

Unfortunately, not all schools and universities have economics and business theory in their curricular that I consider to be essential. Moreover, not all governments approve of crypto. But of course I think that all young people must be aware of new technologies like Bitcoin and all mechanisms that are connected with finances. Only this way we are likely to overcome poverty.

As for me, it shouldn't be on the main syllabus but rather a topic that is connected to investing and finance. Not all students would get interested in it but at least they would have an idea about it. Those who will get interested in it would be able to do researches about it. Explaining what digital currency is and explaining the importance of Bitcoin would be a big help.

I agree, but the problem is that there are still many countries that have not legalized Bitcoin and are even blatantly against it.
So it might be a problem for a country's education department to include Bitcoin lessons in schools.
But if there is a vote, does this need to be included in the school curriculum? So my answer is Yes, this is very necessary.

I don't know about this, I am kind of split in two in regards to this idea, on one hand, I want more people to know what is bitcoin and the basics of it and at the same time, have some of them get their interests piqued and on another hand, I feel like it's only a waste of time because bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain are such a specific subject that it's not a good one to be taught in a class.

It is happening but not everyone knows it. I did a Google search and was surprised that in an article published in 2018 they made reference that Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, is teaching cryptocurrency education.

Quote
"Now, in 2018, Union Catholic is teaching its juniors and seniors about cryptocurrencies."

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/07/bitcoin-education-at-high-schools-and-colleges.html
What I am observing is that people are taking the initiative as it is happening anywhere in the world and under the premise of taking a step towards the future with bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

Well, the thought brings up many directions/options to my mind:
1-Teach high school students in summer training or projects to make their own NFTs with an overview of the subject ( like they do in small robot competitions)

- and if u teach them a brief about central banks and the process of money u may add a brief about cryptocurrencies too.

2-In universities definitely a flexible post graduate course is recommended that could start as self readings with some seminars till it formulates depending on the college economy/commerce/informatics/Computer Science and/or Engineering.

3-Should be included as a topic in each relevant course .. from my side CSE in databases, distributed systems, Cryptography (there's a lot of Cryptography here), game theory, system programming could teach the Ethereum Virtual Machine and how Bitcoin Core works, data structures could give examples of tree&trie&DAG usage in different cryptocurrencies, Simulation/Probability & statistics about different models, distributions used in simulating TX arrival rates into pools, stochastic processes courses when teaching random walks should tell (know to begin with) it is used in such simulations and in slippage AMM equations ( the part of Uniswap v3 I didn't understand in depth till now because I never used the stochastic course since I graduated 27 yrs ago)

The existence of a syllabus is a sub-chapter of an educational curriculum. So before referring to the syllabus, you only need to review the learning curriculum and also the educational goals in each country which often refers to a multicultural education goal. Well, here crypto will be placed in the curriculum law which the education minister should be able to approve on the basis of government regulations. If the fact is that the country still does not support the growth of crypto, then the education syllabus for young children will not materialize forever.

It is different if El Salvador, they have a frequency that is easy and can be applied in a syllabus-based crypto education system that is included in certain subjects.

Proper knowledge is real tool to handle any trading market (not just crypto). You are nothing in trading if you don't have necessary knowledge of investment and finance no matter how much tech geek you are. AFAIK, investment and finance is taught to students that opt for finance in Colleges. We may debate on introducing it on lower grades.

Well, your suggestion is right but yet to get welcomed, everything is in step by step, not until the government erase their ban on crypto, support and promote it's adoption and make it a legal tender, the dream of making the offering as a course for student will never come a reality.

Not only digital education could be included, we have the likes of:
Social media education
Scam enlightenment
Cryptocurrency education
Digital asset course
Networking

These are the likes of the future possible courses to be thought in schools

I agree. Currently, there are still many young generations who do not know what Btc, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are. Some hear Btc but don't understand it at all. When I said crypto they really didn't understand. Steps like this should be done so that the younger generation is not left behind by technological developments.

There is no need of adding it to any syllabus. Just think, if crypto is added to a syllabus then to which subject this needs to be added. It has got multiple usage possibility and the functioning too depends on different factors. Already we've got more and more number of cryptocurrency related courses, but those were more of technology oriented. Maybe soon blockchain will get termed to be a separate subject.

I think Bitcoin itself might not get covered in the syllabus but surely there is a good case of blockchain technology taught at a higher level of education because the use cases are beyond imagination and whenever there is a talk about blockchain technology, there will always be a mention of BTC somewhere surely.

Also, there are many courses you will find online that are focused on teaching subjects like blockchain technology and what is a public ledger so already there is some interest from people in learning about these topics.

I think it’s impossible to put encrypted tutorials in the course at least now, but I really hope that students can have a foundation in economics in investment and financing in high school, because now children are really blank when they enter the society. , When the children go to school, they are not so focused.
Incorporating the encrypted tutorial will be too complex and difficult for high school students to comprehend and understand, better still putting elementary aspect of studying how Bitcoin is transacted, features, history etc, will a good idea at least this enable them to learn and have some little understanding of Bitcoin, while the advance and more core complex curriculum like blockchain technology and it related programming languages should be taught in higher institutions of course it is offered in some colleges and universities.

I don't know what other countries look like. In my country, some universities have already launched blockchain technology courses and set up a professional discipline. And this university is developed in cooperation with the exchange. I believe that in the near future, universities all over the world will start relevant courses.

It is not needed for most syllabus, it can be in specific field and subjects where it belongs.
And it is also up to the university if they are going to take crypto seriously because still many don't. Blockchain can be their main priority because of its tech.

This kind of subject will be more relevant to be included in a finance classes but I guess it would also great if it would fall on the information technology classes too. I mean we all know that we are not just being a financial pro here in cryptocurrency platform but we do must know how to not just as good as tech savvy but at least we know the basic right. In my personal experience if you really not knowledgeable enough about using the technology that surrounds crypto platform it would hard for a person to adopt it easily but somehow this could kind of thing can be learn in a self-learning strategy.

No i definitely dont agree with the fact that crypto must the syllabus for the students. it is just an additional burden on them. Yes in higher studies there can be some courses which student can go for.
