As I visited axie infinity marketplace, I saw an axie sold at 4 dollars up to 20+ dollars but can't buy then an error shows "failed to purchase please try again later". I don't know if this is the right board to discuss but anyone who can help is appreciated. I was looking to buy an axie where I don't need to spend 420 dollars for three axies which I don't have the money to afford it. Anyone how to fix this?.

That's a visual bug and if it's sold for that cheap, it's already bought by a bot. You can't go faster than a bot. Floor price is around 0.041 ethereum so that's the calculation that you must do for each Axie and you'll still need around 0.123 ETH for the cheapest team you can make in the marketplace.

Always check the marketplace and you'll see it. I always saw it and later on it's gone and there is a record that it is sold or bought by another user. Even the 20+ amount which is 0.006 or 0.007 weth is also sold very fast. I cannot afford to buy three axies which cost around 420 dollars for three axies. Did you happen to see something like that in axie marketplace?.

It's from the other users. AFAIK, those that have setup a bot and even they have bought it at cheap price, there's a likely that the system might ban them soon.
Many of those accounts that have setup a bought that allowed them to buy those cheap Axies quickly were part of last ban wave.

As for the bots, it is not Axie setting it, but those who wanted to buy or the buyers itself. That's marketplace for you, not only here in crypto, but outside that people can buy in retail and then resell it, there will be bots that will buy it in a blink of an eye. As to how to beat these bots? I don't know, maybe write your own bots, buy proxies, VPN to speed up. If you have poor internet speed, it's hard to beat them.

Yes, it normally goes back but I don't know how long the span is for that bug to stay visible in the marketplace, maybe for two to five days and that's the maximum days it shows that bug.

That’s not a problem problem but a bug and I don’t really see some one that can sell their holdings at that price. Axies is a great game and so far I didn’t experience any problem with it. If you are still planning to buy at market place, try to look for s mid range price, it should be available.

There's no need to fix it by the users, the devs are the only ones to fix that if they make every purchased Axie already removed in the marketplace. That's how they should fix it.

You might buy that from someone through P2P locally but I don't think that will be a good team of Axie and might only give you a headache if you're going for the Arena unless you're fine to go through tough battles and low MMR.

I want to mention that not only particulars who use those bots to manipulate the trade, almost all the suspected exchanges use similar bots to moderate the trade and get an extra benefit. The only way to avoid those shemes is not to trade with an unknown token moved by Hype. And also being cautious when trading an unknown token in suspected platforms, i remember see Yobit scam exchange and Hitbtc using those bots to create fake orders in new tokens (most of them are created by the exchange itself like the one from Yobit investbox.

You had a funds already so you need to work out for the fix and ask the support from axie website for you to do your request successfully. My problems in axie right now was playing using mobile device, errors was encountered during log in and using pc was another alternative ways. Also with monetary, that's my secondary problem now and needs funds to purchase axie characters in order to sustain and increase profit to earn slp.

When Axie infinity starts booming too much and starts with having a lot of players that wanted to earn in play to earn games.  But now when the community becomes too crowded, the Anxiety infinity, they start to become buggy sites.

I tend to agree with most replies above, it could be a bug because as I checked now, there is no that kind of amount and possible not to be below $100.  So we must be careful about it and even if you will research the Axie infinity market bug, you'll see that there's a lot of topics discussing regarding the bug.

it often happens in games that allow buying and selling of items or the like in their market, it could be that it is no longer on the market list because your hand is not fast enough or the price has been corrected, so what you write happens.

There's a lot of happened here.
It could;
A.) Bought immediately
B.) The seller cancelled immediately the Axie that is for sale (maybe cancelled due to wrong input)

Just be careful on cheap axies on Axie Infinity marketplace because there was an issue lately about banned axies like they already bought the Axies, but on the marketplace, it is not showing that it is already banned, banned already appeared after they bought, but I heard this was already handled a few weeks ago when there was a banned wave happened.

I've countered many cases as what OP has mentioned, I'm so excited to bought it on the lowest price but turned out that it's only a visual bug. At first I was also curious why some of the Axie pet marketplace price was set so low compared to the other Axie price and it's too good to be true for an Axie price ranging on $4-$20. For the current prices of Axie today a budget of $1000 is good already to have a decent team that the player could enjoy playing in a PVP mode.

I don't have an Axie but I have friends who bought a set of Axies at more than $1000, SLP back then was good and you can make profit from earning SLP but now the price is not good and it's going down further, I don't think it's worth buying Axies at $1000 it's now down $0.079350
there's a possibility that it will go down further to 1 cent, things are not good on Axie right now.

Are you sure 4$ selling in the marketplace of axie infinity? I am pretty sure that no one will do sell their axie for 4$ only. If ever you are telling the truth you should send the link here so we can able to find out what is the best thing to do for it. but like what I said only crazy axie players will do that matters.

The OP should send feedback to the developer for immediate action.
I've also experienced some kind of visual bug in exchange. but not a failed transaction. there is only a description almost the same as what the OP meant. but the transaction is still successful for the buy order that I did.
not much to share for the OP. because this is the authority of the developer.
