Question about the seed words and their safety

Is it safe to keep the 24-words of trezor/nano s  seed words in two in two different hidden locations with 12 words each?

It is safe but the problem is if you forgot that hidden location to any of those two.

It would be better if you could make two copies of your seed instead of spliting them in two.
