The fight is still a month later but this thread have been up last year. well, the mandatory fight was supposed to happen last year. but then, there was a complication with Casimero's health resulting in him not being able to show up at the weigh-in which also resulted in the fight being postponed. so the thread being created last year is understandable. Right, and so this is still relevant up to this day or until the fight really happen. And most boxing speculators had some qualms when Casimero didn't show in the weigh-in and we thought that it was due to him moving from MP to Probellum promotions. So it didn't sit well with us boxing fans. And then WBO threaten Casimero that he will be strip of the belt for not showing. But later we found out that he indeed has some infection in his stomach causing the match to be postpone but not cancelled.

Yes the fans are sure disappointed but I'm also sure that they understand Casimero's side why he wasn't able to show on the scheduled weigh-in, at first there's some doubts and rumors that Casimero was just faking his situation because he found out that he was heavier than the expected weight. Good thing that Casimero managed to clear his name on the rumors and was given a 2nd chance. This time, it will surely go through with no setbacks as Casimero can't really afford if he will be stripped.

No reason now and they are resuming the fight, Fans understood, and they were here to support Casimero. We will see how Butler used the extra time for preparations, he's the challenger and fans are expecting both fighters to come up and show good fight since they extend it from that Postponement, better to bring something that will add to entertaining factors to this fight. Casimero's knocking Butler would be nice..

To be honest, i'm a little bit worried about this fight. Not with the promoter or Butler but with Casimero. There is no such thing as an easy fight in boxing but Butler poses a little threat to Casimero's belt IMO so i could say that all Casimero should do is to show up in the weigh-in, make that weight and go home a champion again. No disrespect to Butler but Casimero's real opponent here is himself. Quadro Alas should work with an expert so he can make the weight come fight night and i hope that he will be reunited with Mo Heredia so things that happen in Dubai won't happen again.

I have to agree with you. If they will not make it to the point to do something about this medical condition, it might cause a problem to Casimero's performance. Ok, let's say he made the weigh-in but in the actual fight, the condition suddenly strikes. That's a disadvantage. Paul Butler will come into the fight at 100% healthy status. He is conditioning since the fight was announced the last year. He surely is a threat to Casimero.

That's the main reason why Naoya Inoue became not interested anymore to fight Casimero. He thinks that the reason why Casimero wasn't able to show up on his last weigh-in is already a hindrance to him. He didn't want to fight a boxer that is not 100%. Regardless, let's just put hope that Casimero's camp will do something about it. It's a condition that will strike anytime. There's no long-term solution for it especially with just a few months of recovering.

He is more well-prepared compared to Casimero that I think still resting at this point and not doing any hard training and workout. We don't have any update about the Casimero today but we need to trust him. Although in reality, trust is not enough. A healthy and strong is needed as having just confidence can't be applied here. Butler will surely do everything to make Casimero struggles now that he knows that the latter is having a health-related problem.

IMO, it doesn't need a lot of time to prepare for a fight, I think if Casimero will start training this month, he can still be in the best condition on the day of the fight, so I still trust him to beat his mandatory challenger even if the fight is on his challenger's home. Casimero has proven many times that he can beat anyone at any place of fight, and Butler is no exception here.

I don't see him as a big threat. I saw the odds of the fight and Casimero is the heavy favorite, so I expect him to win better than his win against Rigondeux. Casimero's few fights before Rigo was pretty impressive, it's only Rigo who ruined it using his boring style, but this time, for sure Casimero will have an impressive win again.

Health-related issues of Casimero will definitely going to be an edge of Butler on this fight and I guess this is the part where Casimero should prepared of because for sure this will be his disadvantage on this fight. I am not doubting on the capability, talent and skills of Casimero but yeah like what you did feel mate about him I am too concerned that Casimero issues will affect everything in his career. I know he is one of the good fighter but yeah he should resolve his self issues first to be able to win this fight.

Inoue would not want to see Casimero to win here as he knows it will pressure him to fight Casimero as people are asking for it.

April is coming so fast, I wish for both boxer to be healthy so we can witness a great match. Inoue is just waiting for his next opponent between Donaire or Casimero, let's talk more about this after the result of this match.

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight champion John Riel “Quadro Alas” Casimero returned to has Cebu to kick off his training for his April 23 mandatory title defense in England. Link: https://cebudailynews.inquirer.net/423526/casimero-sets-up-training-camp-in-cebu-for-april-world-title-defenseThis article was released 2 days ago and it seems that Casimero started his trainings already in Mandaue City. IMO, he should train in other place or country to help him focus more without being interfered by the fans and hopefully his medical condition has been dealt already so that he can continue his scheduled trainings without setbacks along the way as he can't afford to stop because the fight date is approaching fast.

Right now the situation is quite difficult and Being forced would not be right would only add to the burden on Casimero because it really doesn't make sense to allow sick people to be forced to fight. Of course everyone wants to see a match that is balanced and balanced in their literal physique and their mentality and now the delay is still going on and I like this because indeed it will keep the sportsmanship in good shape. For Bultler I have no big doubts for him but he still has to be patient and maintain his current fitness so that when the game arrives there is nothing that is not wanted.

He can start his training in his country and then when the fight is approaching he can continue the training in England. Good preparation will give him a higher chance of defending his title, but it's always good to see him knocking out Butler, so no bias from the judges.

I disagree with you, bro. Even how hard will be training, once that medical issue strikes again, all that training will be useless. We should focus there and take note of that. It's not a physical injury that he dealt but it's an internal condition that can be experienced again and again. I even think that he is not advised to go all hard when training. I am also confident that Casimero is 100% healthy on the day of the fight but still, we shouldn't rule out the possibility of his recent condition to back anytime.

Parts of the risks when it comes to health issues neither external or internal then it would really just be the same thats why im not really that much confident on taking up some bets for Casimero no upcoming fights but we couldnt really deny that his will to win isnt something that could really be shaken off.It is really just that these health issues do really stop him up. Some been saying that it was just some sort of reasoning? I dont think so.

It's real since they were able to provide the medical records to the WBO. Casimero's team can't fake it or what. Since it's real, that makes me worry too that it will affect his overall performance. A quick Google: Depending on the cause, viral gastroenteritis symptoms may appear within 1-3 days after you're infected and can range from mild to severe. Symptoms usually last just a day or two, but occasionally they may last up to 14 days. It means it can happen anytime soon. Casimero needs to work on his proper diet from now on.

Casimero would not start training if he is not fully healthy now, I guess we should focus more on his training, not on his issue before that resulted in the fight getting postponed, I'm confident that Casimero is 100% healthy going to the fight and he will successfully defend his title.
Maybe there is an issue with his diet that's why he encounter that issue so maybe he need to address that first before going on deep training so that he can assure that same issue will not happen again, but I believe his trainers will be more careful about his health since many is at risk for him for second time around so for sure Casimero will be in his full health stepping up on the ring.
