I also prefer short term trading.  I don't have the patience to hold the coin year after year. We also don't know what will happen to the crypto market after 6 months or a year. So it is better to take profit now without relying on uncertainty.

Since you say short time investment, i believe you are hoping to get profit soon rather than later. You could just invest in a coin now instead of waiting for another dip. It may not come soon, or may come and you pick a coin and it never goes up again. Cryptocurrency market is unpredictable, there's never a good or bad time to enter it.

Not every altcoin you see is a good coin to invest with your money. Maybe you can look at that few that really has the potential.

Right now could be a little too late, when the topic started wasn't too late at all. Considering it could still go up, many people think that it is not even too late right now. However, I believe that if there is a chance of making a profit from the crashes then it is smarter to wait for things to go down before you buy instead of when they are going up. I do not mean like it is a bad time to buy right now, it is just not the best time to buy right now. There is a difference between buying at a decent time, versus buying at the best possible time.

Because of this I suggest people to buy bitcoin when it has a 20%+ drop in a month, if you see it dropping more than 20% then you could start buying it, and do it level by level, sort of like grid buying, that way you would DCA your purchasing price as well and you would be doing a lot better.

Emotions, when the price is already pumped or high for you, you are telling yourself to buy when it will pull back or dump.
This is difficult and I admit that I am always experiencing this. We don't know how deep the dip is.

That's why the best thing to do when you want buy the dip, try to not do 1 buy or all in, try to average it on multiple buy orders incase there are/is more dip or no more dip. Just my 2 cents.

You would really have doubts on when to buyback knowing that it could go down more or would break out new resistance.Whenever you do make out buying decisions then always mind off about the probabilities

It is not always late to buy coins especially Bitcoin but it all involves risk, either you purchase at dip or high but all depend on what you are there for either trading or investment. The reason why I said so is that when the coin is dumping  thier is not probability that the dumping will not continue and when is also pumping thier is not probability that it will not continue pumping. I think thier is not fixe price for both dumping and pumping. I bought bitcoin  some months back ago at rate of 40usd and later dump to 30usd but bitcoin is at rate of 57usd.now I have make my profit but I am a investor not trader.

I believe no body wants to buy a coin and hold it for years before turning in some nice profit, we all want to buy now and x10 x50 x100 and even x1000 by this time the next day, it's not a bad thing to wish this for oneself, but also, we should know that it only takes the grace of God for one to have this kind of luck...

So my advice is, as you set your goal to a very short term investment, also prepare ahead so that in a case where your supposed to be short term investment begins to take too long to bring in the desired profit, it doesn't come back to you as a shock, and in effect, you end up selling your stash at a loss.

This has happened to me and I learned that there is no 100 percent guarantee short term investment any where in crypto, it's only by the grace of God(good luck) that some investments brings in profit far sooner than it should, and we tend to think we are genius in selecting projects to invest in.

Your regret for not making the decision to buy when there was a decline a few days ago, of course it could be a regret in itself. but why and what makes you regret?. Is it because you want to buy an altcoin that is going down? or it's too late when you want to buy bitcoin !!. once again, of course it all depends on the situation what coin you want to buy.

Bitcoin and ethereum are definitely never too late to buy them, because these are very different coins from the rest. moreover bitcoins, will increase after reaching the last ATH and will be able to exceed that ATH for the next time and never drop lower than their last ATH.
